Irregular menstruation and positive ovulation test paper

Irregular menstruation and positive ovulation test paper

For couples who are preparing for pregnancy, it is very important to understand the woman's ovulation period. At this time, the ovulation test strip can be of great help, and its accuracy is relatively high. It's just that many women have irregular menstruation and don't know when to use the ovulation test strips, and they are afraid that it will be a waste if they use them at the wrong time. So, when should the ovulation test strips be used to detect menstrual disorders? Today I will explain it in detail for everyone.

When should I start testing ovulation test strips for menstrual disorders?

It is recommended to measure body temperature during the ovulation period. The oral body temperature measured shortly after waking up every morning without any activities (such as talking, eating or waking up, etc.) is connected into a curve according to time, which is called the basic body temperature curve. If there is ovulation, the basic body temperature in the first half of the menstrual cycle is low, while the body temperature in the second half, that is, the ovulation period after ovulation, rises. Generally, the temperature difference between the two is about 0.5℃, so the basic body temperature curve shows a two-phase change of left and right fluctuations. If ovulation does not occur, the basal body temperature curve will be flat without any change and will be a single-phase electrical type. The ovulation period is generally during the period when the body temperature drops and then rises again. The time when the human body temperature is the lowest is the ovulation period.

Ladies with menstrual disorders can try using the ovulation calculation formula: the first day of ovulation = the number of days in the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days; the last day of ovulation = the number of days in the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days. For example, if the shortest menstrual period is 28 days and the longest is 37 days, you need to subtract 18 from the shortest regular period (28-18=10) and 11 from the longest regular period (37-11=26). Therefore, the 10th to 26th day after the menstrual period belongs to the ovulation period. If a woman's menstrual cycle is irregular, with frequent delays or early menstruation, the calculated ovulation period will still be inaccurate. And because women's ovulation period will be affected by external conditions and change, therefore, for women with irregular menstruation, the most accurate way is to go to the hospital to monitor ovulation, so as to accurately grasp the ovulation period.

How to use ovulation test strips for menstrual disorders

Under normal circumstances, if the menstruation is regular, the ovulation period is about 14 days before the menstruation. If the menstruation is irregular, it can only be detected by ovulation test paper. If the ovulation test paper is positive, it means that it is the ovulation period, and the ovulation test paper is accurate. For friends with menstrual disorders, the best way to detect the dangerous period of pregnancy is to use ovulation test strips and go to the doctor for B-ultrasound examination. Among them, B-ultrasound examination is the most accurate method. It should be noted that if friends with menstrual disorders want to get pregnant, it is best to go to the doctor to check the ovulation period and endocrine status first, and prepare for pregnancy after the body is in good condition. Friends who are not prepared for pregnancy and have irregular menstruation should not take chances and use methods such as dangerous period of pregnancy and safe period of menstruation for contraception.

The ovulation period of women is usually the days between the two menstrual periods. The safe period is the menstrual period after removing the days before. In fact, it is not difficult to lock the dangerous period of pregnancy. It just depends on the method. We can get the answer by subtracting 18 days from the shortest cycle and 11 days from the longest menstrual cycle. If the menstrual cycle is 30-32 days, then 30-18=12, 32-11=21, and the dangerous period of pregnancy is 13-21 days. Hurry up and mark the days with red crosses and prepare condoms.

A woman's ovulation period is generally about 14 days before the next menarche. Starting from the first day of the next menarche, the last 14 days or minus 14 days is the ovulation period, and the ovulation period as well as the first 5 days and the last 4 days are called the ovulation period. For example, a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the first day of this menarche is December 2nd, then the next menarche is on December 30th (December 2nd plus 28 days), and then minus 14 days from December 30th, December 16th is the ovulation period. The ovulation period as well as the first 5 days and the last 4 days, that is, December 11-20 is the ovulation period. Except for the menstrual period and ovulation period, the rest of the time is the safe menstruation period. During the safe menstruation period, you do not need to use any contraceptive drugs or contraceptive tools for sexual intercourse.
