The correct way to treat breast lumps

Female friends should check their breasts every day, touch the area around the breasts with their hands, and observe whether there are any lumps. Girls are very prone to breast lumps, which can be caused by a variety of reasons that vary greatly. If not discovered in time, they may cause serious damage to the body or even cancer. We all know that breast tumor is a very common tumor. So, how should you check for a breast lump?

1. Breast lumps massage technique

Meridian massage derivative method: Use the thumb on one side, and the other four fingers together as one side, open the tiger's mouth, and push from the outside of the chest on both sides to the center to prevent the chest from expanding outward, 30 times on each side. Keeping your hands in the same shape, start with your left chest. Use your left hand to push the left breast toward the center from the outside. After reaching the center, use your right hand to push the left breast upward from the bottom until it reaches the clavicle. That is to say, use both hands to push the left breast. After repeating 30 times, switch to the right breast. Make your hands into a cup shape with your fingers slightly apart so that they can cover your breasts. Bend your waist slightly, cover your breasts with both hands, and pull from the bottom (not the lower part) toward the nipple. Repeat 20 times. Use your hands to massage your breasts in circular motions.

Lateral breast massage method: Use the base and palm of your left hand to apply force from the middle of the chest, push and press the right breast horizontally to the armpit. When returning, use the five fingers to bring the breast tissue back. After repeating 20 to 50 times, change to your right hand to massage the left breast 20 to 50 times. Direct-push breast massage method: first use the palm of your right hand to apply force to the upper part of the left breast, that is, below the clavicle, push down evenly and gently to the base of the breast, and then push back along the original route. After doing this 20 to 50 times, change to your left hand to massage the right breast 20 to 50 times. Before going to bed every night, apply hot towels to both sides of the breasts for 3 to 5 minutes, and use the palms of your hands to massage around the breasts, from left to right.

2. Symptoms of breast lumps

The vast majority of breast lumps are benign lesions, such as breast adenosis, breast fibroadenoma, breast cysts, intraductal papilloma, breast duct ectasia and breast tuberculosis. Breast adenosis is also known as breast hyperplasia. Judging from the characteristics of the lumps, breast adenosis often causes multiple nodules of varying sizes and unclear boundaries to be found in both breasts simultaneously or successively, which can be pushed. Breast fibroadenomas are mostly solitary, with clear boundaries, neat edges, smooth surfaces, and are movable. Breast cysts are small, smooth, movable swellings that form when breast tissue ages.

3. Is a breast lump a disease?

Some breast cancers in which no lump can be felt have nipple discharge as the first symptom, which can be diagnosed through cytological smear of the discharge or ductoscopy. Paget's disease of the breast is also known as eczematoid breast cancer. Its clinical manifestations are very similar to chronic eczema. The nipple may be extremely itchy or accompanied by burning pain. The nipple and areola skin may become red, eroded, ulcerated, crusted, and desquamated, and even the nipple may retract, often accompanied by nipple discharge. It should be differentiated from chronic eczema and contact dermatitis in the early stage, and the diagnosis should also be based on pathological histological examination of the lesion site. In most cases of inflammatory breast cancer, no lumps can be felt clinically. The breast becomes diffusely hardened and enlarged, and the local skin becomes red, swollen, hot, and painful, similar to acute inflammation. The difference is that there are no systemic symptoms such as chills and fever.
