Under normal circumstances, the embryo adheres to the posterior wall, anterior wall or outer wall of the uterine body. The most dangerous position of the placenta is below. Generally speaking, first-time pregnant women will begin to show their belly between 12 and 16 weeks of pregnancy. Mothers who are not having their first child will show their belly earlier because their uterus and waist muscles have already expanded due to previous pregnancies.

Starting from the 12th week of pregnancy, the uterus expands beyond the toes. Before this, your uterus is inside the pelvic cavity, and it is generally not obvious from the outside that you are already pregnant.

If your belly becomes visible early, it may be due to bloating or constipation, both of which are typical characteristics of pregnancy. In rare cases, an early belly may also be due to the pregnancy of twins or twins.

If your belly appears too late, don't worry. The uterus can be located in various places in your body. Sometimes, a woman's uterus tilts to the side and back, which is called retroverted uterus. If that were the case, her belly would show later. On the other hand, if a woman's uterus tilts forward, the belly may appear earlier.

If the doctor thinks there may be a problem, he will arrange for you to have a B-ultrasound examination to see if you have calculated the wrong due date. If the gestational age is lower than the actual gestational age, the doctor will monitor the baby's development regularly to ensure everything is normal.
