How long does it take for postpartum relaxation to return to normal?

When pregnant women give birth, they usually perform the physiological activity of dilating the pelvis. When giving birth, it is usually the dilation of the cervix, and then the baby is born, and the baby grows out from the lower body. This will immediately cause their lower body to be very loose. This is a problem that many mothers are troubled by. The body will automatically recover. How long does it take to recover from postpartum relaxation?

Postpartum relaxation basically occurs in mothers who choose natural delivery. It mainly refers to the time when the baby is delivered through the vagina during natural delivery. The normal diameter of a woman's vagina is 2.5 cm, while the diameter of a baby's head is usually 10 cm. That is, the normal vagina will expand to 10 cm during childbirth. The squeezing of the vagina during childbirth will cause a certain expansion, and the muscles and hymen marks will also be completely destroyed, with reduced elasticity and a very obvious relaxation.

How long does it take to recover from postpartum relaxation? Generally, after delivery, the vaginal wall relaxes and the muscle strength decreases, the vaginal cavity expands, the vaginal mucosa and surrounding tissues swell, and the vaginal mucosal wrinkles decrease or even disappear due to excessive flexion and extension. After about 3 weeks, the mucosal wrinkles reappear, the muscle strength gradually recovers, and the vaginal cavity gradually shrinks, but the tension has not yet returned to the level before pregnancy.

As everyone knows, our female vagina has built-in repair function, but the actual repair condition varies from person to person. Generally, postpartum relaxation will recover within three months after giving birth, so mothers do not need to worry too much. What mothers need to know is that postpartum relaxation can be restored through exercise. You can try the following methods:

1. When you need to urinate, hold your bowel movement appropriately, hold it for a few seconds on purpose, interrupt your urination, and then continue urinating after a short pause. Trying it more often can make the vaginal area tighter.

2. In addition to holding urine, holding bowel movements when convenient and doing levator anus exercises can be a good way to exercise the pelvic muscles.

3. Contraction exercise is also a trick to repair postpartum relaxation. The mother adopts a supine sleeping position, gently inserts a finger into the vagina, then contracts the vagina, clamps the vagina, and continues for about 3 seconds, then releases the pressure, and repeats several times.

4. If you are still not satisfied with the above methods, it is recommended that you walk more. Try to tighten the thigh and vulva muscles while walking, relax after tightening, and exercise more.

Postpartum relaxation is not terrible. Even if it has a short-term impact on postpartum sexual life, as long as mothers pay attention to postpartum recovery exercises, generally three months after giving birth, the mother's vagina can be restored to its previous level. During the training period, you must also keep up with your nutrition. It is best to arrange your time properly!
