Reference range of 24-hour urine protein in pregnant women

Physical and mental health cannot be ignored, especially the physical and mental health of pregnant women, which is also the focus of attention of the whole family. After all, one body is two lives, and all aspects of the human body are sensitive. Therefore, prenatal examination is particularly important, not only for the health of the fetus, but also for the health of the pregnant woman herself, so it is necessary to understand the quantitative standard value of urine protein in pregnant women within 24 hours.

Reference range of 24-hour proteinuria in pregnant women

It is normal for pregnant women to have a 24-hour urine protein level of no more than 0.15 g. If it exceeds 0.15g, it is mostly a symptom of nephritis. If you exceed this amount, you must avoid seafood, protein foods, greasy and high-fat foods. You can eat fruits and vegetables, but you must have a low-fat diet, pay attention to rest, and avoid fatigue. Generally, the renal tubular filtration rate of pregnant women increases, and protein filtration also increases. The urine protein quantity can generally reach 300-500mg, but as long as it does not exceed 0.15g, it is normal.

If a pregnant woman produces slightly higher levels of protein, she must sleep on her side to reduce proteinuria. If the pregnant woman does not have kidney disease, the test results are normal, and there is a small amount of urine protein, as long as it does not exceed 0.15g, it is normal.

Symptoms of high proteinuria

1. When the patient has high proteinuria levels, he or she may also have joint pain. In addition to joint pain, high blood pressure, edema and other symptoms may also occur. The patient's joint pain is related to kidney damage and the accumulation of endotoxins and waste products in the body.

2. When the proteinuria value is high, there will be more foam in the urine, but the color is not much different from normal urine. If the patient has a serious combined infection, the urine will immediately become turbid.

3. Some patients will continue to develop fundus lesions. More serious patients may also experience hematuria, so when patients have high urine protein, they must pay attention and seek medical treatment immediately.

4. Normal people also have proteinuria in their urine, but the amount is relatively small. Generally, when there is actual damage to kidney function, the amount of proteinuria will increase. However, if the disease is repaired, proteinuria will immediately change from more to less. Therefore, the amount of proteinuria can be observed during the treatment period to determine whether one's physical symptoms have improved significantly.
