Symptoms of fetal hypoxia in pregnant women at 7 months

Fetal hypoxia in July includes subacute hypoxia and chronic hypoxia. The most common manifestation of acute hypoxia in pregnant women is abnormal fetal movement, including excessive and frequent fetal movement or significantly reduced or even no fetal movement. Pregnant women with chronic hypoxia may not have any abnormal symptoms or may only feel that the abdomen is growing slowly or has not grown significantly.

Pregnancy lasts for ten months, but during these ten months the fetus will undergo many changes. The first change is that the fetus continues to grow and develop until it is born perfectly. And that kind of change means that he may still be at risk. During these ten months, the fetus may face many risks, such as insufficient fetal oxygen. So what are the symptoms of fetal hypoxia in pregnant women in July? The following symptoms can tell whether the fetus is lacking oxygen.

1. Changes in fetal movement: This is a normal physiological activity of the fetus, which can be recognized by pregnant women at 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. The fetal movement varies from one fetus to another. Generally, static fetuses are relatively mild and less frequent. The fetal movements of the excited fetus are large and frequent. If an originally cheerful fetus suddenly becomes quiet, or an originally quiet fetus suddenly becomes anxious, and the fetal movement is less than 10 times/12 hours or more than 40 times/12 hours, it is possible that the fetus is suffering from intrauterine hypoxia. This is because the fetus reduces oxygen consumption or insufficient oxygen affects the nerve center. Pregnant women can calculate fetal movements by sitting or lying down, and count for one hour each at fixed times in the morning, noon, and evening. The sum of the three times multiplied by 4 is the number of fetal movements in 12 hours. Therefore, expectant mothers must learn how to count fetal movements so that they can better monitor the condition of the fetus.

2. Abnormal fetal heartbeat: A normal fetal heartbeat is regular and strong, ranging from 120 to 160 beats per minute. If the fetal position is normal, it is on the left or right side of the pregnant woman's lower abdomen, that is, on the side of the fetal back. The husband can use simple equipment to check. Before the fetal movement decreases, the fetal heartbeat occurs frequently. If it exceeds 160 beats/minute, it is a signal of insufficient oxygen in the early stage of the fetus; if the fetal movement decreases or stops, and the fetal heartbeat is less than 120 beats/minute, it is the late stage of fetal hypoxia. The location for listening to the fetal heartbeat should be specified by the doctor, but special attention should be paid. If the fetal heartbeat is abnormal, it should be listened to again after 20 minutes; if the fetal heart rate is fast, it should be listened to again when there is no fetal movement.

3. Growth and development stagnates: Due to insufficient oxygen, the growth and development of the fetus will also be slow. The development status of the fetus can be known by measuring the height of the uterine fundus (the distance from the top of the ischial tuberosity to the highest point of the uterine fundus). Generally speaking, after the 28th week of pregnancy, the weight should increase by about 1 cm per week. Pregnant women can perform accurate measurements at home or in the hospital at regular intervals. If there is no improvement for half a month, further inspection is required.
