Normal range of postpartum uterine cavity separation

Normal range of postpartum uterine cavity separation

Women need to have a physical examination after delivery to see how their body recovers. If the recovery is not good, they need rehabilitation treatment. The longer the recovery time is, the less likely it is that the uterine cavity will separate. Uterine cavity separation will occur if there is a small amount of fluid accumulation in the uterine cavity. You can take some medicine to speed up the discharge of lochia, and the uterine cavity will return to normal after the residue is discharged. If the uterine cavity separation is severe, medication should be used, and regular B-ultrasound examinations should be performed.

For some women, ten days after delivery, ultrasound examination found that the range of uterine cavity separation reached 0.9cm, the internal sound transparency was poor, and the liquid dark area reached 2.8cm. At this time, an examination is needed, because the postpartum uterine cavity separation has exceeded the normal range, and conservative treatment must be taken before entering the surgical stage.

Women need to continue to undergo examinations after giving birth, not only to determine the degree of physical recovery in the later stage, but also to understand whether the delivery process has caused damage to the woman's uterus, ovaries and other parts. If obvious uterine cavity separation is found through B-ultrasound examination after delivery, it is necessary to observe for a period of time before judging the disease.

When a woman's uterine cavity separates after childbirth, it means that there is blood accumulation in the uterine cavity. If drug treatment is ineffective, the symptoms of vaginal bleeding will become more severe, and uterine curettage surgery must be considered at this time. It is recommended to observe the specific condition at the beginning. If the drug treatment is not effective, then consider uterine curettage as the most suitable method. In fact, we need to do another B-ultrasound examination after delivery. If the examination finds that the uterine cavity separation is beyond the normal range at this time, we must undergo examination in time. The normal range is no more than five mm. Anything before five mm is within the normal range. The cervix may separate after this and treatment must be received.

Within one month after delivery, lochia will be discharged one after another. After the uterus recovers for a period of time, uterine cavity separation will be found through B-ultrasound examination. As long as the endometrial thickness and uterine cavity separation are within the normal range, it will not affect women. The increase in prolactin and irregular menstrual cycle after delivery are caused by delivery. As long as women recover for a period of time, their bodies will slowly recover. However, women are reminded that it is best not to have sex as soon as possible after delivery, because the uterus and ovaries need rest. They should also pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, change and wash underwear frequently, pay attention to personal hygiene, and avoid vaginal infection. This is the way to prevent more serious uterine cavity separation.

If the uterus has not fully recovered, the uterine cavity will separate. This may be caused by the baby being too large or the uterus being over-expanded during childbirth. It may also be caused by blood accumulation or inflammation in the uterine cavity. If we take medication or physical therapy for a period of time and it doesn't work, it's not too late to try surgery.
