Will I get pregnant if I ejaculate during my fertile period?

A woman's body is divided into a safe period, a dangerous period and a menstrual period in a month, and the probability of conception in these three periods is quite different. For example, the fertile period refers to the dangerous period. The probability of a woman getting pregnant during this period will greatly increase. If you are not ready to have a baby, you should take contraceptive measures. However, some people may wonder whether ejaculation during the fertile period will lead to pregnancy?

In clinical practice, contraception using ejaculation outside the body is the least reliable method of contraception. Regardless of whether you have a fertile physique or any other physique, using ejaculation outside the body for contraception may create the possibility of pregnancy. Because before a man is ready to ejaculate, he will secrete a large amount of prostatic fluid, which contains a small amount of sperm. Although the amount is small, as long as it is there, it is possible to enter the cervix in the vagina, enter the uterine cavity, and then go to the fallopian tube to combine with the egg to form a fertilized egg, which will cause pregnancy. Even though ejaculation occurs outside the body, there is still a possibility of pregnancy clinically. Moreover, for people with a fertile physique, it is recommended that for safety reasons and for your own health, it is best to use condoms throughout the entire sexual life. This is safe and hygienic, has no side effects, and achieves the desired contraceptive effect.

Various contraceptive methods have different advantages and disadvantages. Different methods should be chosen according to the age, health condition, number of children, living habits, etc. of both men and women, and different methods should be chosen according to the person and the place.

1. Tubal ligation

Tubal ligation is a surgery to tie the fallopian tubes, blocking the passage of the egg to the uterus, in order to achieve the purpose of permanent sterilization of women. This procedure is suitable for adult women who desire permanent sterilization and have no contraindications to the procedure.

In recent years, minimally invasive techniques have become widely used, and laparoscopic tubal ligation has become increasingly popular because it causes less damage, is safer, and has a faster recovery time than traditional surgery.

2. Tool contraception

(1) Intrauterine device

Intrauterine contraceptive devices are generally made of antiseptic plastic or metal, and some are added with some drugs (such as female hormones or indomethacin, etc.). There are many shapes of uterine rings, such as round, uterine cavity-shaped, T-shaped, etc. Doctors can choose the appropriate uterine ring according to the condition of each person's uterus.

After the uterine ring is placed into the uterine cavity, it changes the environment in the uterine cavity, making it unfavorable for the implantation of the fertilized egg, affecting the motility of the sperm and the movement speed of the egg in the fallopian tube, thereby achieving the purpose of contraception. The effectiveness of contraception using an IUD is approximately 94-99%. Women with genital malformations or tumors, dysmenorrhea or heavy menstrual flow, pelvic inflammatory disease, gonorrhea, multiple sexual partners, severe anemia, heart disease, or a history of ectopic pregnancy should not wear an intrauterine contraceptive device.

(2) Condom

The penis sheath, also known as the contraceptive condom, is a cylindrical high-quality thin latex product with four diameters: 29mm, 31mm, 33mm, and 35mm. The top is sac-shaped. It is put on the penis when it is erect, and when ejaculation occurs, the semen is stored in the small sac and cannot enter the vagina, let alone the cervix into the uterine cavity, thus achieving the purpose of contraception. If it is used correctly every time during sexual intercourse, it has a good contraceptive effect, does not cause any harm to the body, and can also prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. In particular, there are important measures to prevent the spread of AIDS.

(3) Female condoms

Female condoms, also known as vaginal condoms, are made of polyurethane and placed on the inner wall of the vagina. They collect male semen during sexual intercourse and prevent semen from flowing into the uterus to achieve a contraceptive effect. Female condoms can reduce the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

3. Contraceptive drugs

Contraceptive pills are divided into two categories: internal and external. The main ingredients of internal contraceptives are artificially synthesized estrogen and progesterone, which are divided into three types: long-acting, short-acting and rapid-acting (visiting relatives) according to the duration of their contraceptive effects. Internal contraceptives work by inhibiting ovarian ovulation, thickening cervical mucus, interfering with endometrial development, changing fallopian tube motility, inhibiting sperm capacitation, and inhibiting or killing sperm.
