1. Smooth cervix means that the appearance of the cervix is ​​normal during gynecological examination, with no cysts or erosions on the surface, indicating that there are no inflammatory changes in the cervix. However, it is not possible to determine whether you have cervical cancer based solely on the smooth appearance of the cervix. Because early cervical cancer, microinvasive cancer, and endogenous cervical cancer, if they have not invaded the surface of the cervix, the cervix may appear smooth. Therefore, a smooth cervix may also indicate cervical cancer, and women should undergo regular cervical cancer screening.

2. The surface of the cervix is ​​mainly composed of squamous epithelium, so the surface of the cervix looks relatively smooth. However, if the estrogen level in the body is relatively high, under the action of estrogen, the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal will move outward, and appear to be eroded in appearance. This is physiological and does not require treatment. If the lack of smoothness of the cervix is ​​caused by inflammatory stimulation, some symptoms will appear, such as increased vaginal discharge, abnormal properties, odor, easy contact bleeding, etc. This situation requires timely treatment.

3. A smooth cervix does not simply mean that there is no problem with the cervix. Some women with cervical lesions may also be found to have smooth cervixes. Clinically, the cervical surface of patients with cervical cancer may also be smooth, which can easily lead women to ignore cervical cytology screening, thereby increasing the risk of cervical cancer.

Therefore, if the cervix is ​​found to be smooth, you can go to the hospital for a colposcopy, or further a cervical cell biopsy. If the result is HSIL, it indicates cervical cancer or more serious cervical precancerous lesions. If the examination does not find any lesions, no treatment is required.
