Can leucorrhea turn green and heal on its own?

Can leucorrhea turn green and heal on its own?

Whether the leucorrhea is normal is very important for women. Changes in leucorrhea can indicate gynecological problems. Sometimes women will worry when the leucorrhea turns green. In fact, this phenomenon indicates gynecological inflammation, especially vaginitis. If you don’t feel uncomfortable, you can take some medicine. If it is serious, you have to go to the hospital for treatment. It is not ruled out that the leucorrhea turning green is caused by excessive liver fire. In this case, the leucorrhea can return to normal only when the fire goes down. But if there is inflammation, it is difficult for the leucorrhea to return to normal on its own.

Can leucorrhea turn green and heal on its own?

If a woman's leucorrhea is light green, it means she has inflammation. It may also be caused by excessive liver fire. If the condition is not treated in time, pain will occur in the lower abdomen and the leucorrhea will have an odor. It is very difficult to cure, so if the leucorrhea is light green, it is best to seek medical attention in time for better treatment.

Light green leucorrhea is incurable. Once a woman encounters this situation, for the sake of her own health, she must choose early treatment. Once the leucorrhea disease is delayed for a long time, it will delay the best treatment period, which is very detrimental to her own health recovery. At the same time, in order to prevent abnormal leucorrhea, you should pay more attention to leucorrhea in your life.

In order to keep the amount of leucorrhea normal, women should pay attention to a light diet on weekdays. The most important thing is to exercise every day. More exercise can improve one's resistance. When immunity and resistance are improved, one will be less likely to suffer from diseases.

What are the symptoms of abnormal leucorrhea:

1. Purulent leucorrhea

This type of leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green in color, mucus or foamy, and has a foul odor. It is mostly caused by vaginal inflammation, among which Trichomonas vaginitis is the most common, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching. It can be seen in chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, mesometrial effusion or foreign body in the vagina.

2. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea

This type of leucorrhea is a typical phenomenon of candidal vaginitis, and is generally accompanied by severe vulvar itching.

3. Bloody leucorrhea

If there is blood in this kind of leucorrhea, you should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal fibroids, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and urethral caruncle may also cause bloody leucorrhea. In addition, a small amount of bloody leucorrhea caused by intrauterine contraceptive devices is also common.

4. Yellow watery leucorrhea

This type of leucorrhea often occurs after continuous vaginal bleeding, and a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling leucorrhea flows out of the vagina. Advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or submucosal myoma with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

5. Urinary dysfunction with increased leucorrhea

In typical gonococcal infection, the amount of leucorrhea and urethral secretions may increase and become yellow and purulent. The leucorrhea caused by chlamydia is less viscous and there is an increase in white serous cervical secretions.

6. Leucorrhea during pregnancy

After pregnancy, the amount of leucorrhea will be significantly increased than usual. This is because the blood flow in the vagina and cervix of pregnant women is vigorous, so the secretions also increase. As the pregnancy progresses, the amount of vaginal discharge will increase. Many pregnant women often feel that their vagina is always wet, which is affected by leucorrhea. However, this is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy. Just rinse the vulva with warm water, change underwear frequently, and keep it clean.

7. Foul-smelling and foamy leucorrhea

The main symptom is an increase in leucorrhea, which is white or yellow-green foamy and has a fishy odor. Frothy leucorrhea is the main feature of Trichomonas vaginitis. In addition, there may also be a burning sensation, pain, and dyspareunia during intercourse. Scratching often causes vulvitis, local congestion and swelling.

Types of abnormal vaginal discharge:

1. Inflammatory leucorrhea

Due to the different sources of infection, the characteristics of leucorrhea are also different. According to the different characteristics of leucorrhea and the accompanying symptoms and signs, we can roughly distinguish what type of inflammation it is.

① Fungal leucorrhea

The leucorrhea is paste-like or curd-like, and the vaginal wall is visibly congested. In severe cases, the vulva is red and swollen, and the vaginal mucosa is covered with a white film. When the white film is wiped off, rough, red, swollen, damaged eroded surfaces and superficial ulcers can be seen. The patient may experience itching and burning pain in the vulva. Laboratory examination revealed oval spores connected in a beaded or tree-like shape.

② Trichomonas leucorrhea

This is leucorrhea caused by Trichomonas, which is yellow in color, thin in texture and foamy. Bleeding from the vaginal wall, even with the appearance of bayberry-like bleeding spots. Many women feel itchy vulva, and Trichomonas can be found in laboratory microscopic examination of leucorrhea.

③ Pelvic inflammatory leucorrhea

Pelvic inflammatory disease includes cervicitis, endometritis, adnexitis, etc. The leucorrhea caused by the inflammation is yellow in color, sticky in texture, fishy in smell, and purulent. The vaginal membranes are dry and red, there is cervical erosion, pelvic tenderness, and the adnexa are thickened and enlarged. At this time, women often feel pain in the waist, which is aggravated by excessive fatigue or sexual intercourse. Laboratory examination revealed a large number of bacteria and pus balls.

④Senior vaginitis

The amount of leucorrhea is large and yellow and watery. There are often superficial ulcers on the vaginal wall, so the leucorrhea may contain blood or appear yellow and pus-like. The vaginal mucosa becomes congested, and in severe cases, hemorrhagic spots may appear. I feel itching and burning pain. Under the laboratory microscope, pus balls and miscellaneous bacteria can be seen, sometimes accompanied by trichomonas and fungal infections.

2. Non-inflammatory leucorrhea

As long as the pelvic organs are congested, it will lead to an increase in leucorrhea. Some systemic diseases and weak constitution often have egg white or water-like leucorrhea, and patients have itching or burning sensations. When the disease is serious, they feel a sense of falling discomfort, which is often accompanied by damp vulva, congested mucosa, protruding sebaceous glands on the inner side of the labia majora and minora, and an uneven, gritty surface.

3. Foreign body leucorrhea

If an IUD is placed in the uterus, or if foreign objects are left in the vagina after childbirth or surgery, it will irritate the vagina or cause inflammation, causing a large amount of thick yellow vaginal discharge. This vaginal discharge has a fishy smell and some even contain blood.

4. Cancerous leucorrhea

This type of leucorrhea is generally meat-washing water-like, has a foul odor, is abundant in amount, and causes severe vulvar irritation.

5. Leucorrhea caused by other reasons

If it is syphilitic or gonorrheal vulvitis, ulcers, vaginitis caused by protozoa, vesicovaginal fistula, or rectovaginal fistula, the increase in secretions is caused by the stimulation of the vagina by excrement.
