Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor that seriously endangers women's physical and mental health. Studies have shown that the occurrence of cervical cancer is closely related to persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV), of which about 70% of cervical cancers are related to HPV16 and HPV18. Human papillomavirus infection vaccine (commonly known as HPV vaccine) is also called cervical cancer vaccine because it can prevent cervical cancer caused by vaccine-related HPV infection. At present, there are three types of HPV vaccines available for sale in Beijing, all of which are produced by imported companies:

The bivalent HPV vaccine contains a bivalent vaccine for high-risk HPV types 16 and 18. Current research data show that it can prevent approximately 70% of cervical cancer and two types of cervical precancerous lesions and adenocarcinoma in situ. The group suitable for vaccination at this stage: women aged 9-45. The quadrivalent HPV vaccine is based on types 16 and 18, and adds quadrivalent vaccines for low-risk types 6 and 11 HPV (types 6 and 11 HPV can mainly cause genital warts).

Current research data show that it can prevent approximately 70% of cervical cancer, as well as two types of cervical precancerous lesions and adenocarcinoma in situ (foreign research shows that it can prevent genital warts).

The group suitable for vaccination at this stage: women aged 20-45. In addition to the quadrivalent HPV types, the nine-valent HPV vaccine also adds five high-risk types: 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. Current research data show that it can prevent about 90% of cervical cancer, as well as precancerous lesions and adenocarcinoma in situ caused by corresponding types (foreign research shows that it can prevent genital warts).

The group suitable for vaccination at this stage: women aged 16-26. All three HPV vaccines require three doses, with the procedure being 0, 1, and 6 months (bivalent HPV) and 0, 2, and 6 months (quadrivalent and nonavalent HPV). "HPV vaccine belongs to the second category of vaccines that are allowed to be paid for by the patient. People who need to be vaccinated can consult clinical doctors and vaccinators in advance to choose the appropriate vaccine." Relevant person in charge of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that there is currently an adequate supply of bivalent and quadrivalent HPV vaccines in Beijing, which can fully meet the vaccination needs.

Because the vaccine manufacturer Beijing cannot fully meet the supply needs of the nine-valent HPV vaccine, the delivery quantity of this vaccine to vaccination clinics is limited, but a certain number of nine-valent HPV vaccines are delivered each month. Each disease control center will formulate a delivery plan based on the registration requirements of each vaccination clinic and deliver it to each vaccination clinic effectively. Those who intend to get vaccinated need to make an appointment in advance at the vaccination clinic of the community health service station near their residence and wait for the hospital to assign the vaccine. For practical matters, please consult the vaccination clinic and the local disease control center.
