How long does it take for the follicle to rupture and be released?

1. Hello, after the egg is discharged, it enters the fallopian tube and waits for sperm to fertilize it. Fertilization occurs within 12 hours after ovulation. The follicle ruptures, the egg is discharged, and it enters the fallopian tube. After sexual intercourse, it combines with sperm.

2. First of all, I have to tell you that if the egg is not fertilized within 24 hours after being released, it will be clinically dead. If it is fertilized, it will take an average of nine to 13 days for the fertilized egg to enter the uterine cavity and begin to implant.

3. When the follicle ruptures, the egg is discharged. The chance of pregnancy within three days of ovulation is very high. After intercourse, the sperm will wait for the egg in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. Within seven hours after ovulation, the end of the fallopian tube will pick up the egg and transport it to the ampulla of the fallopian tube to meet.

Ovulation

1. The eggs are produced by what we usually call the female gonads - the ovaries. They are about 0.2 mm in diameter. The main function of the ovaries, in addition to secreting the sex hormones necessary for women, is to produce eggs.

2. The rudiments of a girl's ovaries are formed at about 3 to 6 weeks of gestation during the embryonic period. Before birth, millions of primary oocytes are formed in the ovaries. After childhood and adolescence, only about 100,000 primary oocytes remain by adulthood.

3. The primary oocyte is wrapped in the primordial follicle. Under the influence of sex hormones, only one primordial follicle matures every month. The mature egg is then discharged from the ovary into the fallopian tube. Generally speaking, a woman will mature about 300 to 400 eggs in her lifetime, and the rest of the oocytes will die on their own.
