Candida vaginitis is a type of vaginitis and a disease caused by Candida infection. This disease can be transmitted between husband and wife, so if the wife suffers from candidal vaginitis, her husband also needs to be treated at the same time. Of course, there are many ways to treat candidal vaginitis, and patients can choose the most suitable method according to their specific condition! 1. Is candidal vaginitis contagious? If the woman has vaginal inflammation and does not receive treatment, and does not use a condom during sex, the infection may be transmitted to the man. If the man is infected, he may have abnormal urethral secretions, genital itching, and other symptoms. If the woman has inflammation, she needs to clean the vulva with a lotion in time and apply vaginal medication. She should avoid having sex during the treatment period. The man can also take medication at the same time to avoid recurrence. 2. Clinical manifestations of candidal vaginitis The most common symptoms of candidal infection are excessive vaginal discharge, burning and itching of the vulva and vagina, exogenous dysuria, and geographic erythema of the vulva. Typical leucorrhea is curd-like or bean curd-like, the vaginal mucosa is highly red and swollen, and white thrush-like plaques can be seen attached, which are easy to peel off. Underneath is an eroded base of damaged mucosa, or shallow ulcers may form. In severe cases, ecchymosis may remain. However, not all leucorrhea has the above typical characteristics. It can range from watery to curd-like leucorrhea. Some are completely thin and clear serous exudates, which often contain white flakes. The itching symptoms of candidal vaginitis during pregnancy are particularly severe, and may even cause restlessness and abnormal pain. There may also be symptoms such as frequent urination, painful urination, and pain during sexual intercourse. In addition, about 10% of women and 30% of pregnant women are carriers of mold but have no clinical symptoms. 3. Treatment of Candida vaginitis 1. Change the acidity of the vagina If you use alkaline drugs to flush the vagina, you can use 2% to 4% soda solution to flush the vagina to change the living environment of the fungus. However, its effectiveness remains controversial. 2. Medication (1) Nystatin vaginal suppository: inserted deep into the vagina, once in the morning and once in the evening or once every night for 2 weeks. Clotrimazole suppositories or miconazole suppositories can also be used. (2) Oral administration of nystatin or fluconazole, etc. (3) Apply topically nystatin cold cream or miconazole cream twice a day. Pregnant women with candidal vaginitis may recover after delivery, but the newborn is at risk of infection, so timely treatment is still needed, preferably with local medication. 3. Male carriers Male carriers must also receive routine treatment, which is one of the important measures to prevent recurrence of female patients. |
