Cervical cancer stage 2b

Cervical cancer stage 2b

Stage 2b cervical cancer refers to inflammation that has invaded the vicinity of the uterus but has not yet entered the pelvic floor. It is a symptom of mid-to-late stage cervical cancer and requires the patient to undergo a hysterectomy to avoid worsening of the disease. However, after a hysterectomy, women will no longer have the ability to reproduce, which is very harmful to women. However, if stage 2b cervical cancer is not treated, it will affect the patient's life safety. You can learn more about this.

Stage 2b cervical cancer is cervical cancer that has invaded the vagina but not into the lower third. There is parauterine invasion, but it does not reach the pelvic floor.

Stage 2b cervical cancer is a mid-to-late stage disease. The patient has already undergone interventional treatment, hysterectomy and radiotherapy, which basically conforms to the routine clinical diagnosis and treatment and is a regular treatment plan.

Generally speaking, chemotherapy is not very effective. Now we are considering using traditional Chinese medicine to consolidate the treatment. In addition, we may consider using some hormone therapy appropriately, such as androgen therapy and biological therapy.

Traditional Chinese medicine treatment generally focuses on strengthening the body's resistance and eliminating pathogenic factors, combining attack with supplementation, and treating both the symptoms and the root causes. Commonly used ones include Arisaema, Lithospermum officinale root, etc. In addition, you can use Rehmannia root, Ophiopogon japonicus, Radix Trichosanthis, Sophora flavescens, Honeysuckle, Taraxacum officinale, etc. decocted in water and taken orally. It is best to use Chinese medicine to take your pulse and then make a dialectical treatment.

How long can you live with stage 2b cervical cancer?

There is no clear answer to how long a person can live, because everyone's physical fitness, illness severity, psychological factors, treatment conditions and other factors are different. Adjusting your mindset and actively practicing auxiliary therapies such as biological therapy can reduce the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, enhance the patient's sensitivity to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and improve the therapeutic effect of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that a tumor is not a simple lump, but a local manifestation of a disease in the human body, caused by abnormal immune function and imbalance of yin and yang. Therefore, simply eliminating the tumor in treatment is often not ideal. Chinese medicine, based on a holistic perspective, combines anti-cancer with strengthening the body, adopts a four-in-one therapy of medicine, mind, body, and food, and uses syndrome differentiation and treatment, holistic treatment, to achieve the goal of improving symptoms, controlling the progression of the disease, inhibiting tumors, improving the quality of life, and ultimately prolonging the patient's life.

Surgery is only for palliative resection or symptomatic treatment. The body's vitality is damaged after the operation. Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine each have their own strengths in treating tumors. Therefore, in the treatment of cervical cancer, it is necessary to give full play to the respective advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, adhere to long-term treatment, relax the patient's psychological state, provide good psychological treatment, increase dietary nutrition, and improve the patient's immune function. Only in this way can better therapeutic effects be achieved. Cervical cancer examinations reveal that many cases are already in the advanced stage, usually with extrauterine metastasis. Current radiotherapy and chemotherapy regimens are relatively mature and most are effective.

Prevention of cervical cancer

There are no clinical symptoms in precancerous lesions and early stages of cervical cancer, and most of them are in the late stages when symptoms appear. Therefore, regular cervical cancer screening is very helpful in preventing cervical cancer. The medical community generally recognizes that the mature examination methods for cervical cancer are TCT (liquid-based cytology test) and HPV (human papillomavirus) testing, both of which are performed by extracting secretions from the cervical canal and collecting more cells than cervical scraping. The combination of the two has a detection rate of over 90% for cervical precancerous lesions.

The key to preventing cervical cancer is examination. Any woman who has sexual activity is likely to get cervical cancer. Based on the age distribution of patients, it is recommended to undergo cervical cancer screening from the age of 25 to 70, or start screening 3 years after starting sexual activity.

If financial conditions permit, HPV and TCT tests can be done at the same time as gynecological examinations after the age of 25; if financial conditions are average, HPV should be done at least once every three years, and TCT should be checked if the test is positive. If TCT does not find any precancerous lesions, you can wait half a year and then check for high-risk HPV; if both TCT and HPV are normal, you can check every 5 years until the age of 70.
