How to recover quickly from a caesarean section

How to recover quickly from a caesarean section

When pregnant women give birth, there are two options: caesarean section and natural delivery. Not every pregnant woman can give birth naturally. For women with abnormal fetal position or older mothers, caesarean section is generally recommended. After all, caesarean section is an operation, which will cause certain damage to the body to varying degrees. After caesarean section, you need to rest well, which is beneficial to the recovery of the body. How to recover quickly after caesarean section?

How to recover quickly from a cesarean section?

1. Get out of bed and move around as soon as possible

Mothers should move around as soon as possible after giving birth. After giving birth to little Wenxin by caesarean section, the doctor repeatedly told me to pass gas as soon as possible to prevent intestinal adhesions. Getting out of bed and moving around as soon as possible will help with postpartum gas discharge. After the caesarean section, Lao Wang accompanied me to take a few light steps in the aisle. We did this three or four times a day, which was also helpful to restore intestinal motility as soon as possible. If the pain from the wound is so severe that you cannot get up, you should still do some exercise in bed. Turning over more often can also help to expel gas and prevent adhesion of internal organs.

2. Do more abdominal massage

After the caesarean section, the wound hurt so much that I didn’t want to move at all. But there was no other way. I had to get out of bed and walk around in order to recover faster. During the days of hospitalization, the nurse came to the room every day to help massage the abdomen, saying that massaging the abdomen more can help the uterus and vagina expel residual blood. When I got home, my mother and husband also gave me a gentle massage from top to bottom. Because I had just given birth, the force cannot be too strong. Sometimes I massage in circles around the belly button, and sometimes I gently rub up and down. I hope that continuous massage will help to tighten the abdomen after delivery and accelerate the contraction of the uterus.

3. Don’t forget fruits and vegetables

Many people of the older generation believe that postpartum women should not eat fruit. Some say it is bad for their teeth, some say it makes them prone to cold, and some say it is bad for their spleen and stomach. In fact, some fruits can be eaten during the confinement period, but cool fruits such as oranges, persimmons, and watermelons cannot be eaten. During the confinement period, my mother gave me an apple every day. She would cut it into small pieces and soak it in boiling water before giving it to me. It is recommended that postpartum mothers should eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, firstly to prevent constipation, and secondly to achieve nutritional balance.

How to lose weight quickly after caesarean section

1. If you have a particularly good appetite during pregnancy and lactation, are easily hungry and eat a lot, then you should be suffering from gastric formation and postpartum obesity. This obesity phenomenon is caused by excessive tonic, and the absorption and metabolism of nutrients in the body are not proportional. In this case, accelerate the metabolism in the body and control the amount of food intake.

2. If you have a normal appetite during pregnancy and lactation, but poor metabolic capacity after delivery, and often suffer from constipation and diarrhea, then you must be obese due to spleen deficiency. This also shows that your body is in a sub-healthy state. Restoring your metabolic capacity as soon as possible is your top priority for weight loss.
