The vulva is located in the human reproductive organ, so it is prone to the proliferation of various bacteria. At the same time, the vulva itself secretes some acidic substances to form an environment that is easy for bacteria to grow. Therefore, the vulva is also prone to some skin problems. Vulvar acne is a typical type of acute eczema, which exists around the reproductive organs and anus of men and women, appears as red papules, and will gradually increase in size.

What is the cause of vulvar acne?

Typical genital warts are most common on the genitals and perianal area. In men, they are more common on the foreskin, frenulum, coronal sulcus, glans penis, urethral orifice, penis shaft, perianal area, rectum and scrotum. In women, they are more common on the labia majora and minora, posterior symphysis, vestibule, clitoris, cervix and perianal area. It can occasionally be seen in areas other than the genitals and perianal area, such as the armpits, umbilicus, mouth, breasts, and between the toes. Female vaginitis and male foreskin are factors that promote the occurrence of genital warts.

The lesions initially appear as small, light red papules, which gradually increase in size and number, and are distributed singly or in clusters. They are moist and soft, with an uneven surface and appear as nipple-like, cockscomb-like, or cauliflower-like protrusions. Red or dirty grey. The roots often have pedicles and are prone to erosion and exudation, and bleed easily when touched. Purulent secretions often accumulate between the cracks of the skin lesions, causing a foul odor, and secondary infection may occur due to scratching. This disease often has no subjective symptoms, and some patients may experience foreign body sensation, pain, itching or pain during sexual intercourse. Genital warts in the rectum may cause pain, blood in the stool, and a feeling of tenesmus.

What is the disease of itchy small bumps on the vulva?

1. Bacterial vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases, and it is grayish white, thin, and foamy. The vaginal mucosa is congested, with scattered bleeding spots, itching and burning sensation in the vulva, and a foul odor in the vulva.

2. Pseudo-condyloma in women. It is a benign papilloma that is common in young women. The rash is characterized by symmetrical ovoid or filamentous proliferative changes on the inner side of the labia minora, which are evenly distributed, with no subjective symptoms or slight itching and discomfort. It does not grow or develop for a long time and is not contagious.

3. Genital warts. Symptoms include local itching and pain. It grows on the vulva, vagina, cervix, and perianal area, often occurring in two locations at the same time. Local manifestations are small reddish or gray papules that appear as wart-like protrusions and often fuse to form cauliflower-like growths.

4. Flat warts. It is a skin lesion manifestation of secondary syphilis. It occurs in the vulva and anus area, appearing as infiltrative flat raised plaques or papules with a grayish-white surface and abundant secretions, a broad base, and no pain or itching.

What should I pay attention to when there are many small bumps on the vulva?

1. Underwear and underwear should be kept clean. Underwear should be soft, loose and wide, preferably made of cotton. Avoid wearing synthetic underwear.

2. Pay attention to your daily diet, which should be light, vitamin-rich, and mainly consist of fresh vegetables and soy products; avoid irritating foods such as tobacco, alcohol, chili peppers, strong tea, coffee, etc.; drink more water, eat more fruits, and keep bowel movements smooth.

3. If the home environment is good, the indoor temperature can be adjusted to 16℃~20℃ and the relative humidity can be adjusted to 30%~40%. When the relative humidity is lower than 20%, the indoor air is too dry and allergenic substances such as dust are easily blown away. Therefore, water should be sprinkled on the ground, and a humidifier can be activated if conditions permit.
