Why is my vaginal discharge always brown?

What causes brown vaginal discharge? There are two types of brown vaginal discharge: physiological and brown. If you find a small amount of brown vaginal discharge during ovulation, this is a normal physiological phenomenon. If brown vaginal discharge does not appear during ovulation, or if dark brown vaginal discharge is obvious during ovulation, it is likely caused by physiological factors and requires timely treatment. There are actually two reasons why women's vaginal discharge is brown:

1. Physiological brown vaginal discharge: Physiological brown vaginal discharge often occurs before and after women's menstruation and during ovulation. It is a normal physiological disease and a manifestation of female ovulation bleeding. When the ovulation period is over, the yellowish leucorrhea will return to normal white.

2. Physiological brown leucorrhea: Physiological brown leucorrhea refers to irregular vaginal bleeding in women. There are two possible reasons for the brown leucorrhea:

(1) Caused by IUD insertion: It may be a symptom of discomfort after the IUD is inserted. If the discomfort is obvious, you should go to the hospital for examination to see if the IUD is placed normally;

(2) Causes of disease: Most of the brown vaginal discharge is caused by cervical diseases, which may be a sign of moderate to severe cervical erosion, cervical cysts, or even malignant tumors such as cervical cancer. In order to eliminate this kind of physiological leucorrhea brown, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment with medicine in time.

How to treat brown vaginal discharge

1. If the female secretions are dark brown and caused by cervical cysts, you should go to a reliable designated medical institution for treatment in time to prevent the condition from getting worse. In particular, if women have cervical cysts and do not receive timely treatment, it will not only harm their reproductive health, but also have a certain impact on the surrounding reproductive organs.

2. Brown vaginal discharge is caused by residual menstruation after the menstrual period. There is no need to worry at this time. It will slowly recover with the passage of time. However, women should pay attention to hygiene during this period, do a good job of hygienic work and not have sex to avoid the invasion of bacteria and affect their health.
