Will there be fetal movement at 16 weeks?

At 16 weeks of pregnancy, the heartbeat may not appear yet, and it may appear in the next week. Generally, fetal movements will begin in the fifth month of pregnancy. At this time, the pregnant mother can feel the movement of the fetus. If the interaction is relatively large, it may cause movement in the belly. The frequency of fetal movements is generally regular, and parents can keep records based on the frequency of the movements.

Generally, ultrasound examination can detect the fetal heart rate after the seventh week of pregnancy. Doppler ultrasound can be used for examination after two months of pregnancy. The stethoscope can be used for examination after four months. Pay attention to a balanced diet during pregnancy, get enough rest and avoid excessive fatigue. Just do regular pregnancy checkups. The normal fetal heart rate should be 120 to 160 beats per minute. If it exceeds 160 beats, you should be alert to hypoxia. If it is lower than 120 beats, it is more dangerous. If the fetus is hypoxic, the heartbeat will first speed up and then slowly slow down, so fetal heart monitoring is very important. Generally, if the pregnancy does not exceed six to eight weeks at the latest, B-ultrasound can be used to check whether there is a fetal bud and primitive heart tube beating in the uterine cavity. You can have another B-ultrasound check in a week. If there is still no fetal heartbeat at that time, it proves that there is a problem with the development of the fetus.

After 4 months of pregnancy, that is, from the 5th month, the mother can feel the movement of the fetus. The fetus stretches its hands, kicks its legs, and hits the uterine wall in the uterus. This is fetal movement. As the fetus grows, fetal movements are most noticeable between 30 and 32 weeks. At 20 weeks, the average number of fetal movements per day is about 200, which increases to 375 at 32 weeks. The number of fetal movements per day may range from 100 to 700.

Because there are great differences in fetal activity and pregnant women's reduced sensitivity to fetal movement, the time when pregnant women feel fetal movement is also different. More careful pregnant women may feel fetal movement as early as 16 weeks of pregnancy, most pregnant women notice it around 18 weeks, and only a few pregnant women feel fetal movement at 20 weeks of pregnancy. If you have not noticed fetal movement in the 5th month of pregnancy, or the frequency of fetal movement decreases, or the fetal movement becomes weaker or disappears, you should pay attention and go to the hospital for examination immediately to confirm the condition of the fetus.

Generally, fetal movement is more sensitive for pregnant women who are pregnant for the first time. The fetal movement can be clearly felt at 16 weeks of pregnancy, but some pregnant women may not be very sensitive and therefore cannot feel the fetal movement. Regardless of whether you feel fetal movement at 16 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant women should always pay attention to the condition of the fetus. This is the responsibility of being a pregnant mother.
