Can pregnant women do beauty treatments?

Wearing makeup has become a normal part of life for modern women. In most cases, wearing makeup when meeting people even represents a sign of respect. However, pregnancy is a special life journey for women, and the things that require attention and care are particularly troublesome. Many pregnant women refuse to wear makeup and perform beauty treatments in order to maintain the health of the fetus. In fact, pregnant women can do beauty treatments. With the increase in market demand, pregnant women can undergo beauty care as long as they pay attention to some matters.

1. Selection of cosmetics and skin care products

Most beauty products contain retinol, which has the effect of whitening and removing wrinkles. However, retinol is one of the main causes of fetal malformations in pregnant women. Therefore, whether it is a beauty salon or pregnant women doing skin care, they should avoid choosing skin care products containing "retinol". They should use plant essential oils extracted from pure plants and skin care products containing vitamin E to whiten and moisturize the skin. At the same time, try to avoid cosmetics containing aromatic essences such as lavender and citrus, which may affect the development of the fetus.

2. Use gentle cleansing tools

More pregnant women pay attention to facial care, especially stretch marks which become the main target of skin care for expectant mothers. Beauty salons should try to choose purely natural cleaning products to reduce the impact of equipment on the fetus. Try to eat foods rich in high protein, which can effectively improve skin quality, enhance skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

3. You can perm or dye your hair in the late pregnancy

Try not to perm or dye your hair before 28 weeks of pregnancy, because perm and dye creams contain a large amount of chemicals that seriously affect the development of the fetus. However, if you must perm or dye your hair, it is recommended to do it in the later stages of pregnancy. Because after giving birth, perming and dyeing the hair will make the baby more likely to be exposed to chemical substances.

4. Try not to use perfume

Perfume contains the chemical ingredient "phthalates". "Phthalates" can effectively delay the lasting fragrance, but will cause the fetus's functional levels to decline, so it is recommended that expectant mothers do not use perfume, and choose a small spray to moisturize the skin.

5. Reduce the amount of exercise

Women should wear loose and comfortable clothing. Appropriate exercise can relieve the emotions and stress of pregnant women, but excessive exercise can cause symptoms such as chest tightness, dizziness, and even miscarriage. So try to avoid excessive exercise.
