How to do vaginal B-ultrasound?

Few people have heard of vaginal B-ultrasound, but it is a very good examination method. Vaginal B-ultrasound examination is clearer than abdominal B-ultrasound. The microscope needs to be placed into the vagina for examination, so women who have not had sexual life cannot do it. Patients with infectious diseases or vaginal bleeding cannot undergo vaginal ultrasound. Do not have sexual intercourse before doing vaginal ultrasound to avoid bringing in unclean things.

Vaginal ultrasound

Purpose: To check whether the uterus, cervix, endometrium, etc. have any lesions or deformities.

Operation process: Put a thin film on the probe, and the doctor or the patient himself/herself inserts the probe into the vagina for examination.

Not suitable for the following groups of people: those with irregular menstrual or vaginal bleeding; those with infectious diseases, such as vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases; other cervical diseases, vaginal diseases and some vulvar diseases, to prevent infection, cross-infection and bleeding and other adverse consequences.

Note: If you have a disease that is not suitable for transvaginal ultrasound, you should remind your doctor in time to avoid transvaginal ultrasound; because you need to take off your lower body clothes during the examination, you should wear clothes and shoes that are easy to take off and change.

What should men do during B-ultrasound?

Help queue

There are many items in the prenatal check-up. When you accompany your wife for the check-up, you can divide the work and cooperate with each other. Let my wife do some quick checks, such as drawing blood, measuring weight, blood pressure, uterine height, etc. If you help to queue up, this can shorten the entire prenatal check-up time. When doing the Down syndrome screening test, because it takes a long time, you can also chat with your wife to pass the time.

Ask your doctor if you don't understand something

When your wife undergoes an ultrasound examination, you should act as the "monitoring officer". Record the ultrasound doctor's opinion. If you have any questions after the examination, you can ask the doctor. If the ultrasound doctor finds some uncertainties or cannot answer your and your wife's questions, you should consult the obstetrician in time because they know more about your wife's entire pregnancy situation.

Comforting Wife

From now on, your wife may express concern about the results of each prenatal checkup. You must stay rational and further confirm the results. At present, your wife has two main concerns: 1. The safety of the baby in the belly. 2. Why does my belly look like it hasn’t changed, while other expectant mothers’ bellies look so big?

Regarding the first question, you can remind her like this: the baby is only as big as a grape now, and B-ultrasound cannot reveal too many details. The doctor did not emphasize this to you, which means the baby is very healthy. You will know all the details during the second major fetal malformation examination.

If your wife is worried about the second problem, you can say: "My wife has a good figure and tighter abdominal muscles, so of course her belly doesn't look as big as others!" She will feel very relieved. You should take this opportunity to compliment her, because in the next few years her figure may not be as good as it is now!
