What should pregnant women do if their vulva is red, swollen and itchy?

Vulvar itching causes a lot of trouble in daily life and work, so it is very important to actively treat and regulate vulvar itching. Pregnant women with gynecological diseases cannot take medicine at will. So, what should pregnant women do if their vulva is red, swollen and itchy? Here are two dietary therapies to introduce to you.

Symptoms: Itching of the vulva, even pain, restlessness, large amount of clear, thin, slightly yellow pus-like discharge, or foamy rice-water-like discharge, fishy smell, nausea, insomnia, bitter and greasy mouth, chest tightness, shortness of breath, discomfort, loss of appetite, thick yellow tongue coating, deep and rapid pulse.

What should pregnant women do if their vulva is itchy and swollen? The treatment should be to clear away heat and dampness, dispel wind and relieve itching. You can try the following diet therapy:

Causes of Vulvar Itching

Vulvar itching mainly refers to the itching of the female vulva. If it is serious, it will spread to the female vagina or anus. Why do women experience vulvar itching? What are the causes of vulvar itching?

1. Candidal vaginitis: itching and redness of the private parts and vulva, accompanied by dregs-like leucorrhea and strong odor. Scratching may cause eczematous changes of the vulvar dermatitis. In addition, there are many types of itching caused by vaginitis, such as bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, etc. Inflammation of the uterus, cervix, and urethra can also cause itching in the private parts.

2. Pubic lice: Pubic lice often stick to the surface of the skin or attach to the roots of male pubic hair. Pubic lice eggs are grayish white and the size of a needle tube. The bites, venom, and feces of pubic lice can cause itching of the skin, scaling, and secondary eczematous changes and folliculitis.

3. Sexual skin allergy: It is a skin allergy manifestation produced during the sexual life of men and women. Each of them has symptoms of allergy to semen, condom allergy, and friction allergy.

4. Pinworm infection: It mainly affects girls, but adult women can also be infected. When the anus relaxes at night, pinworms crawl out of the duodenum and move to the vulva to mate and lay eggs, and irritate the vulva mucosa, causing local itching.

5. Drug allergy: Women with allergic constitutions may experience "fixed drug rash" after taking sulfonamides or other drugs. It often occurs at the junction of the vulvar skin and mucosa. In addition to local itching, it may also be complicated by erosion and exudation. Using drugs for vaginal cleaning or vaginal insertion in women, such as allergic symptoms and contact dermatitis, can also cause vulvar itching.

6. Partial skin is not clean: Some women use handkerchiefs improperly, and the vulva skin is soaked by menstruation, female secretions, and even urine, feces and sweat, which makes the local skin inflamed, resulting in vulva itching.

7. Sitting still for a long time. Women who sit in the office for a long time and do not move often are very prone to vulvar itching. Sitting on the chair for a long time without moving will make the private parts breathable, especially the tables and chairs with loose cushions.

8. Wearing non-breathable underwear with poor ventilation for a long time. This kind of situation will make the vulva too wet and cold for a long time, and will also cause vulva itching.

Vulvar itching is a symptom caused by various diseases of the private parts, but it can also occur in completely normal private parts. It is generally common in middle-aged women. When the itching intensifies, the patients are often restless and even affect their daily life and work. If women experience vulvar itching, they must seek medical treatment in time. At the same time, they should pay attention to their health and do a good job of hygiene and epidemic prevention to avoid aggravating the condition.

In short, in addition to inflammatory symptoms causing vulvar itching, if women do not want to be troubled by itching every day, then it is best to wear loose full-body underwear, walk around frequently when free, and don't sit down for a long time.
