Granular cervical erosion

Granular cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is a very common gynecological disease. Many married women will suffer from mild cervical erosion. Women with cervical erosion will have some symptoms. Granular cervical erosion is a type of cervical erosion. Symptoms generally include abdominal pain, increased leucorrhea, itching, urinary pain, etc., which make women with the disease miserable. Let’s learn about the causes of granular cervical erosion.

1. Is granular cervical erosion serious?

Granular cervical erosion is a type of cervical erosion. If cervical inflammation is not controlled and continues to exist, it will cause excessive proliferation of the cervical epithelium, and the erosion surface will be uneven and granular in appearance, which is granular erosion. Symptoms of granular cervical erosion:

1. Increased leucorrhea: Increased leucorrhea is the main symptom of this disease. Usually the leucorrhea is milky white or light yellow purulent secretion, sometimes bloody or mixed with blood.

2. Vulvar itching and pain: The vulva and vagina may be irritated by increased leucorrhea, which may lead to vulvitis or vaginitis and cause vulvar itching and pain.

3. Pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region: When the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterosacral ligament and cardinal ligament to cause pelvic connective tissue inflammation, causing pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling.

4. Frequent urination or difficulty urinating: When the inflammation spreads to the bladder trigone or around the bladder, frequent urination or difficulty urinating may occur.

5. Infertility: Thick leucorrhea is not conducive to sperm penetration, so severe cervicitis can cause infertility.

6. Increased vaginal discharge. Initially, the leucorrhea is mucous, and later it becomes turbid like rice water, or pus-like with blood and a foul odor. The most common cervical erosion in clinical practice is pseudoerosion, which is mostly a red area around the external os of the cervix. During colposcopy, after applying 3% acetic acid on the surface of the red area, it can be seen that the red area locally presents "grape bunch" changes, which is caused by columnar epithelial edema.

2. Causes of cervical erosion

Cervical erosion was once a disease that troubled many women. If you go for a physical examination, you will almost certainly be diagnosed with cervical erosion. Causes of cervical erosion:

1. Excessive cleaning. Many female friends are particularly clean, and sometimes even wash many times. In fact, not being clean is a good thing, but being too clean can be a bad thing because excessive cleaning will change the body environment and make it easier for bacteria to grow.

2. Keep underwear sealed and dried for a long time. Some women are shy, so they often hang their pants in a closed environment. Underwear that never sees sunlight all year round will breed bacteria even if you wash it frequently. Wearing it close to the skin can easily cause bacterial invasion, thus causing cervical erosion inadvertently.

3. Taking contraceptive pills for a long time. In life, many female friends take birth control pills. In fact, this is very bad, because taking birth control pills will disrupt the body's endocrine cycle and cause endocrine disorders, which can easily cause cervical erosion.

4. The underwear is not made of pure cotton, so it is not breathable and does not absorb sweat. Some women, out of their desire for beauty, often only consider the style of the underwear when buying underwear, but ignore the fabric of the underwear. If the underwear is not made of pure cotton and has poor breathability and sweat absorption, it can easily cause the temperature to rise, leading to inflammation and even cervical erosion.
