Yellow leucorrhea just after menstruation

Yellow leucorrhea just after menstruation

In daily life, many women are worried about abnormal leucorrhea, which is also a common gynecological disease among women. Some women will have yellow leucorrhea after menstruation. There are many types of abnormal leucorrhea, and they are divided into grades I-II-III. Generally, common gynecological diseases are caused by various bacteria and fungi, which lead to vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., and are treated with some anti-inflammatory lotions and suppositories.

Question 1

Gynecological inflammation is a common disease among women, mainly referring to inflammation of the female reproductive organs, including vulvitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease. For mycoplasma and chlamydia infections, as long as there are no symptoms, mycoplasma positivity is just a normal residence of the human body. This is normal and there is no need to worry. From the perspective of etiology, the pathogenicity of mycoplasma is weaker than many other pathogens, so when inflammation really occurs and the test results are positive for mycoplasma, the first thing to consider is whether there are other pathogens. This is because mycoplasma infection often occurs after other pathogens cause inflammation in the body, which in turn reduces the body's local disease resistance. At this time, mycoplasma is just a "passerby".

Question 2

Leucorrhea is a female vaginal discharge, which is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical canal and endometrial gland secretions. Its formation is related to the action of estrogen. Under normal circumstances, the quality and quantity of leucorrhea changes with the menstrual cycle. After the menstruation is over, the leucorrhea is less in amount, white in color and in a paste form. In the middle of the menstrual cycle when the ovaries are about to ovulate, due to the vigorous secretion of the cervical glands, the leucorrhea increases and becomes transparent, slightly sticky, and egg white-like. 2 to 3 days after ovulation, the leucorrhea becomes turbid, thick and sticky but with less amount. Before and after menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, vaginal mucosal exudate increases and leucorrhea often increases.

Question 3

Abnormal manifestations

1. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea: It is candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching or burning pain.

2. Thin, purulent, yellow-green, foamy, foul-smelling leucorrhea is characteristic of Trichomonas vaginitis, accompanied by vulvar pruritus.

3. Grayish white, thin, fishy-smelling leucorrhea is a characteristic of bacterial vaginosis, accompanied by mild vulvar itching.

4. Purulent leucorrhea: yellow or yellow-green in color, sticky, and often has a foul odor, caused by bacterial infection. It can be seen in gonorrheal Neisseria vaginitis, acute cervicitis and endocervicitis, vaginal cancer or cervical cancer complicated by infection. Purulent leucorrhea can also be caused by uterine cavity pyometra or foreign bodies retained in the vagina.

6. Watery leucorrhea: Vaginal discharge that is thin, watery or rice-like and has a fishy odor. It is seen in advanced cervical cancer, vaginal cancer or submucosal fibroids with infection. Intermittent discharge of clear, yellow-red or red watery leucorrhea should be considered as a possible cause of fallopian tube cancer.

7. Bloody leucorrhea: There is blood mixed in the leucorrhea, and the amount of blood varies. Cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical polyps, cervical columnar epithelium ectopia with infection or uterine submucosal fibroids should be considered. Insertion of an intrauterine device can also cause bloody leucorrhea.
