The ovulation period is a special period for many female friends. Because women's bodies are more likely to conceive during their ovulation period, many women choose to prepare for pregnancy during their ovulation period. During the ovulation period, in order to prevent problems with the female body, women also need to measure their body temperature regularly to ensure their health. So, when should we measure body temperature during ovulation? When to measure body temperature during ovulation A woman’s ovulation day should be the 14th day before her period, but if she wants to test her ovulation period, she needs to do it five days before ovulation. The egg can survive in the fallopian tube for 1 to 2 days. At this time, if a woman wants to get pregnant, she needs to seize this time to prepare for pregnancy and cooperate with her partner so that she can conceive as soon as possible. However, if a woman does not want to get pregnant, she needs to take active contraception at this time. To test the ovulation time, you can choose to test the luteinizing hormone level. If the hormone value in a woman's urine reaches a peak before ovulation, it means that ovulation has begun. You can test it with an ovulation test strip. Generally, a strong positive reaction will last for 2 days. If the test result changes from positive to negative, it means that ovulation has occurred. It is recommended that you choose a regular pharmacy to buy ovulation test strips. Some women have no changes when testing ovulation. They should go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination to see if they are unable to ovulate normally or if the fallopian tubes are blocked. If confirmed, they must actively seek treatment, otherwise it will affect their ability to become pregnant. How to detect ovulation 1. Extrapolation Usually, women ovulate about 2 weeks (12 to 16 days) before their next menstrual period. Therefore, you can calculate it yourself based on the rules of your previous menstrual cycles. However, the ovulation period may change due to the influence of environment, disease, mood and medication, so the calculation of ovulation date should be based on actual conditions. 2. Ultrasonic examination Currently, major hospitals in China use vaginal B-ultrasound to observe the size of the ovaries, measure the size of follicles, and estimate when ovulation occurs. The follicle is generally about 2 to 3 mm in size. It will gradually increase in size as ovulation approaches, reaching 18 mm 2 days before ovulation and increasing to over 20 mm on the day of ovulation. If the observation day happens to be the ovulation day, sometimes you can even see the rupture of the follicle on ultrasound. It can be seen from this that using vaginal B-ultrasound to detect ovulation is the most direct and accurate method. First, you can use the menstrual cycle method to predict an approximate ovulation date, perform follicle measurement on a day close to the ovulation day, observe the size of the follicles, and seek guidance from a doctor. If the follicle has just been formed or is still very small, an ultrasound examination can be performed every two days to monitor the growth rate of the follicle. When the follicle is close to maturity and is about 16 mm in size, it can be tested every day, or even twice a day, until the follicle matures. After the follicle ruptures and releases the egg, ultrasound can detect a small amount of accumulation in the pelvic cavity, confirming that ovulation was successful. If you can use the basal body temperature chart, secretion viscosity test and mid-term pain method, you can basically determine the ovulation day very accurately, which will greatly increase your chances of pregnancy. 3. Aquino Law The Aquino method is also known as the mathematical formula method, which means that the ovulation day is 14 to 15 days forward from the last day of the menstrual cycle (that is, the first day of the next menstruation). If the next menstrual period is on the Nth day, then the ovulation day this time is the N-14th day. Although the length of the menstrual cycle varies from person to person, and even the length of each cycle for the same person is not exactly the same, the luteal phase lasts for most people at 14 days, which is constant. Changes in the menstrual cycle are caused by differences in the follicular phase. So we can use mathematical formulas to simply predict the ovulation day. |
