Can I have a baby if I have a fever during ovulation?

Female friends are more likely to experience fever symptoms during the ovulation period, mainly because your body's resistance is relatively weak during the ovulation period. At this time, you should pay attention to keeping warm and pay attention to the combination of work and rest. When ovulation arrives, if you have a fever, we do not recommend having a baby at this time, because fever may cause certain harm to the development of the fetus and the normal conception of the fertilized egg.

Can I have a baby if I have a fever during ovulation?

Generally, the basal body temperature during the follicular phase is 36.5°C, and it rises by more than 0.5°C during the luteal phase, resulting in a biphasic phenomenon, indicating ovulation. If the body temperature rises by 0.3-0.6℃ or even higher within 24 hours, it means that you are in the ovulation state. You can have a baby.

Temperature changes during ovulation

The body temperature changes during ovulation. Under normal circumstances, a woman's basal body temperature is lower before ovulation and rises after ovulation. Because, when the corpus luteum is formed after ovulation and the secretion of more progesterone stimulates the temperature regulation center of the hypothalamus, causing the basal body temperature to rise, and it will continue until the next menstruation before it starts to drop. Therefore, when the body temperature rises from a low level (increases by more than 0.3 degrees Celsius), it means that ovulation has been completed.

The low temperature period lasts about two weeks from the onset of menstruation to the ovulation day; the body temperature rises by 0.3-0.5℃ from the ovulation day to the next menstruation day, and the high temperature period also lasts about two weeks.

Everyone should learn how to measure basal body temperature. The method of measuring basal body temperature is: After waking up every morning, do not get up, preferably at the same time period, and measure your body temperature with an oral temperature meter. Generally speaking, the body temperature is always around 36.5 before ovulation. The body temperature drops slightly during ovulation. After ovulation, the temperature rises to around 37 degrees, with an average increase of about 0.5 degrees, and continues until the next menstruation, and then returns to the original body temperature level. If you measure your basal body temperature for three consecutive menstrual cycles, you can estimate the ovulation date more accurately.

In addition, measure your body temperature every day and record it on a paper form to observe changes in body temperature at any time.

What are the symptoms of ovulation?

1. Changes in basal body temperature: During a menstrual cycle, the basal body temperature of normal women of childbearing age is lower before ovulation and rises after ovulation. Generally, the temperature difference between the two can reach about 0.5℃, showing a typical biphasic body temperature curve. This body temperature curve indicates that the ovaries have ovulation function, and the junction of the high and low body temperature curves is the ovulation date of the ovaries.

2. Cervix and cervical mucus: During the ovulation cycle, the cervix is affected by estrogen and progesterone, causing changes in secretion and opening and closing. As the follicles develop, the secretion of estrogen increases, the cervix relaxes and opens, the amount of mucus increases, the viscosity is minimal, it is clear and transparent like egg white, and the tension (stringiness) gradually increases; after ovulation, under the influence of progesterone, the amount of mucus secretion rapidly decreases and thickens, and the cervix closes.

3. Ovulation pain: This is a symptom of ovulation. About 1/3 of women experience ovulation pain. The pain occurs in the lower abdomen on the side of ovulation. It is severe pain or continuous dull pain and lasts for 6-12 hours. During ovulation, due to the increase of prostaglandins in the body, the pressure in the follicular fluid cavity increases, and the surface of the ovary will rupture to release the egg. This rupture process can cause lower abdominal pain in some sensitive women.

4. Ovulation bleeding: It is a symptom after ovulation, usually lasting for 2-3 days. The amount of bleeding is not much, and sometimes it only manifests as slightly red leucorrhea. Ovulation bleeding may be caused by the fact that after the mature follicle ruptures and ovulates, the estrogen level drops sharply, unable to maintain normal endometrial growth, causing local shedding of the surface layer of the endometrium, resulting in breakthrough bleeding. Bleeding may be accompanied by pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen, which generally does not require treatment.
