Basal body temperature measurement

After ovulation, the progesterone level rises and acts on the body temperature center, causing the body temperature to rise by 0.3-0.5 degrees. If the egg cannot be fertilized, progesterone levels will drop after about a week and the body temperature will return to normal; if pregnancy has occurred, progesterone levels will remain high, keeping the body temperature high as well.

If the high temperature curve phenomenon in the basal body temperature persists for more than 18 days, early pregnancy can generally be confirmed. It is also important to note that X-rays cannot be used to diagnose early pregnancy. Because only after 18-20 weeks of pregnancy can X-rays show fetal bone shadows, and X-rays in early pregnancy can damage the fetus.
