What is the reason for low implantation position?

After women stop menstruating, if they have had sex before, they should consider the possibility of pregnancy. At that time, they need to go to the hospital for examination. If the examination finds that they are indeed pregnant, but the implantation position is relatively low, which may be accompanied by bleeding, measures to preserve the fetus must be taken at this time. The best way is to be hospitalized for treatment. They must rest in bed more and improve their sleeping posture. So what is the reason for the low implantation position of the embryo?

What is the reason for low implantation position?

The fertilized egg develops slowly before implantation and implants in the lower part of the uterus, where it grows and develops, causing the placenta to be located lower than normal. In addition, factors such as multiple miscarriages, caesarean sections, and multiple births in pregnant women can lead to incomplete vascularization of the uterine membrane. When the fertilized egg is implanted, the blood supply is insufficient. In order to meet the growth needs of the fetus, it absorbs enough nutrients from the mother, thereby expanding the placenta area and extending to the lower part of the uterus.

Because placenta previa can cause pregnant mothers to have a longer hospital stay, significantly increase the incidence of premature births and low-birth weight babies, and even threaten the lives of mother and baby. Moreover, the younger the gestational age, the higher the morbidity and mortality of premature babies. In addition, placenta previa can also cause fetal malformations, which may be related to insufficient blood supply in early pregnancy. Because before the fetus is delivered during cesarean section, the placental leaflets are torn and the placenta is damaged, which can cause fetal blood loss and neonatal asphyxia. In addition, anemia can cause the mother's body resistance to decline, and infectious bacteria can easily invade the placental detachment surface. What's more, the low-positioned placenta affects the entry of the fetal head into the pelvis, causing dystocia for the mother, and also causing postpartum hemorrhage and infection.

Before 28 weeks of gestation, it is called placenta previa, and after 28 weeks of gestation, it is called placenta previa.

What should pregnant mothers pay attention to?

After diagnosis, if there is no vaginal bleeding and the pregnancy week is less than 34 weeks, pregnant mothers should rest more, avoid strenuous exercise, and take oxygen intermittently; and have regular check-ups.

Pregnant mothers should reduce activities, lie on their left side, and avoid activities that increase abdominal pressure, such as violent coughing, forceful defecation, and rapid squatting; to prevent constipation. Eat more foods high in iron.

Cooperate with the doctor: observe more, inhibit uterine contractions, stop bleeding, correct anemia, prevent infection, and extend the gestational age as much as possible.

Avoid excessive abdominal, vaginal, and anal examinations. Sexual activity is prohibited.

If there is severe bleeding due to placenta previa, which endangers the life of the mother and it is estimated that the mother will not be able to give birth within a short period of time, the pregnancy should be terminated by cesarean section immediately, regardless of the age of the fetus or the type of placenta previa.
