Having sex occasionally during menstruation?

Female menstruation is a special physiological period. During this period, the female body's resistance is often very weak. It is best not to have sex during this period. If you have sex during menstruation, it is easy to cause women to suffer from gynecological inflammation, and it may also cause infertility or ectopic pregnancy, which has a great impact on women's physical health. Therefore, for the sake of your health, it is best to resist having sex during menstruation.

Can I have sex during my menstrual period?

1. Cause inflammation and lead to gynecological diseases. During normal sexual intercourse, the penis will bring bacteria to the vagina, but the acidic environment in the vagina is not conducive to bacterial reproduction and will eliminate the bacteria. During the menstrual period, the acidic environment in the vagina is diluted due to the discharge of menstrual blood, and the resistance is weakened. Because the blood is rich in nutrients, bacteria can multiply in large numbers. During menstruation, the endometrium sheds to form a wound, and the cervix is also slightly dilated. These pathogenic "group bacteria" swarm upward, pass through the cervix, enter the uterine cavity, and multiply in large numbers on the wound surface of the uterine cavity, which can easily cause vaginitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, metritis, etc., bringing disease and pain to women.

2. Cause infertility or ectopic pregnancy. When having sex during menstruation, the negative pressure created during intercourse causes a large number of pathogens to be "sucked" into the fallopian tubes. Pathogenic bacteria multiply in the fallopian tubes, causing salpingitis, which causes swelling, necrosis, and suppuration.

3. Aggravate the discomfort symptoms during menstruation. When menstruation comes, the endometrium bleeds, part of the endometrium ruptures and falls off, and some blood vessels are opened and exposed. At this time, sexual intercourse will increase the menstrual volume due to local stimulation, and will also cause heaviness and pain in the lower abdomen. At the same time, it will prolong the days of menstruation and aggravate the discomfort symptoms of menstruation.

4. The production of antibodies leads to infertility. How are antibodies produced? This is related to the immune response in our body. When a foreign object enters the human body for the first time, our body is unprepared for it and it can penetrate straight into it. When it damages the body, the immune system produces antibodies that have the ability to recognize and kill. When it invades again, the antibodies are activated and they fight the invader with all their might, excluding it and killing it even if it enters the human body. The BCG and hepatitis vaccines we inject inject a small amount of bacteria or viruses that are not enough to cause the disease into the human body, allowing the body to produce antibodies. When they invade again, they will be eliminated, thus preventing illness. But sometimes, our immune system makes mistakes. Because it is too vigilant, it often regards some things that do not harm the body and are useful to us as "invaders", produces antibodies, and kills them as "enemies" when they come again.

5. Causes urethral irritation in men. During sexual intercourse during menstruation, the female's menstrual secretions enter the male's urethra, causing urethral irritation in men. In addition, vaginal bleeding may occur at any time during menstruation, and sexual intercourse at this time can easily cause menstrual blood to be everywhere, which I'm afraid most people don't want to do.

You have to wait three days and nights after menstruation before having sex, otherwise there will be qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm, fat and dampness, and black blood clots may appear during the next menstruation. Having sex during menstruation is likely to cause menstrual irregularities.
