Why are breasts so soft and sagging?

Why are breasts so soft and sagging?

Soft and sagging breasts are quite common in daily life, and are more common in women who are breastfeeding. After giving birth, the hormone level of the mother will drop, and the thymus tissue may atrophy, causing the breasts to become soft and droopy. In addition, due to the more serious decline in hormone secretion in elderly women, there are obvious signs of degeneration and atrophy. Of course, it is also related to some daily living habits. For example, malnutrition can easily lead to such symptoms.

Why are breasts so soft and sagging?

1. Internal reasons

1. Breast sagging caused by breastfeeding

Generally, after breastfeeding stops, due to the decrease in hormone levels, the mammary alveolar ducts, glands and adipose tissue will atrophy, while the skin and supporting tissue will increase accordingly, which will cause breast sagging.

2. Weight loss causes sagging breasts

This is caused by losing weight too quickly, which causes the fat tissue and skin in the breast to become loose. More common in young and middle-aged women.

3. Breast sagging in the elderly

As people age, their various functions decline, including their endocrine functions. Breast sagging in the elderly is caused by the obvious degeneration and atrophy of the skin, supporting tissues, fat and glands, so the breasts appear to be sagging like empty cysts.

(II) External causes

1. Excessive dieting and insufficient protein intake

When the body is in a state of hunger for a long time, it thinks it has entered a famine era and will inevitably mobilize stored fat and protein to cope with it. One of the main structural components of the breast is fat and collagen. The chest fat decreases, the skin becomes loose, and the chest muscles are lost. Malnutrition causes the glandular tissue to atrophy, and the overall chest tissue decreases. However, the connective tissue connecting the chest muscles and breasts does not decrease accordingly, so the breasts become smaller and sag. In order to prevent the breasts from becoming smaller and sagging during weight loss, you should eat high-protein foods and supplement with vitamins A, B, C, E, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, etc. to provide the breasts with sufficient nutrition and maintain a balanced hormone level, which can make the breasts full and firm.

2. Like to wash with very hot water

Avoid using hot water to irritate the breasts when taking a bath, and don't soak in hot water for a long time. Otherwise, it will burn the stratum corneum on the surface of the skin, making the skin drier and drier, and the soft tissue of the breast more and more loose. The water temperature for bathing should be around 27 degrees.

3. Like to use a shower head to wash breasts

Don’t underestimate the impact of bathing on the breasts. Improper water impact may cause burden on the breasts. Do not use direct water to flush the ligaments on the shoulders. The position of the ligaments is roughly the same as that of the bra shoulder straps, and it is the ligaments that play the role of lifting the breasts. Protecting the ligaments can prevent and delay sagging. Using a shower head to rinse the breasts from bottom to top can help firm and lift the breasts.

4. The bra size does not match, and the wearing method is wrong

Many women buy a bra without trying it on before buying it home. In fact, a bra that is too small will affect the development of the breasts, while wearing a bra that is too large for a long time may cause sagging breasts. As women age, and before and after marriage or pregnancy, the size of their breasts will change. At this time, when purchasing a bra, you need to adjust the size and try it on before buying.

When wearing a bra, you should not just buckle it casually. Instead, you should buckle the bra first, then adjust the shoulder straps, bend forward, and use your hands to stuff the entire breast and the surrounding fat into the cup to make it appear full and plump. This can also prevent breast fat from migrating outward and making the breasts smaller.

5. Sleeping on your stomach

It's okay to sleep on your stomach occasionally, but if you sleep face down for a long time, the breast tissue of women will be squeezed too much, which will cause premature aging of the breasts, sagging skin, deformation and expansion of the breasts, and poor blood circulation in the breasts. If it has already occurred, the remedy is to sleep on your back or put a small pillow under your back.
