How to replenish kidney qi in women

How to replenish kidney qi in women

Insufficient kidney qi has a great impact on women. It can cause women to have poor complexion and various skin problems. In severe cases, it can even lead to premature aging. Therefore, if women have problems with insufficient kidney qi, they must use some methods to alleviate this symptom, such as self-massage of the waist, stimulation of the soles of the feet, practicing kidney-strengthening exercises, soaking feet in hot water, and eating kidney-tonifying foods regularly. These methods are described in detail below.

1. Self-massage of the waist

Rub your palms together until they are warm, then place them on your waist with your palms facing the skin, and massage your waist up and down until you feel warm. Once in the morning and once in the evening, about 200 times each time. This exercise can warm the life gate, strengthen the kidneys and absorb qi.

Second, stimulate the soles of the feet

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the Yongquan point on the sole of the foot is the well point of the kidney meridian. Regular massage of the Yongquan point can replenish essence and nourish the kidney, soothe the liver and improve eyesight, clear the heart and calm the mind, promote sleep, strengthen the body and prevent premature aging. It has certain therapeutic effects on dizziness, insomnia, tinnitus, hemoptysis and headache caused by kidney deficiency.

The method is: rub your hands together to warm them up, then rub the sole of your right foot with your left hand, and rub the sole of your left foot with your right hand, once in the morning and once in the evening, rubbing 300 times each time.

3. Practice kidney strengthening exercises

(1) Keep your feet parallel and shoulder-width apart. Look at the tip of your nose, let your arms hang naturally, place your palms on the seams of your trousers, and spread your fingers naturally. Lift your heels. Take 9 consecutive breaths without dropping to the ground.

(2) Take another breath, slowly bend your knees and squat down, gradually turning the backs of your hands forward with the base of your palms facing your ankles. When your hands are close to the ground, squeeze them into a fist with a little force (as if grabbing something), and take a deep breath.

(3) Hold your breath and gradually stand up; let your hands hang down and gradually clench them.

(4) Exhale, stand upright, twist your arms outward with your palms facing forward, squeeze your ribs with your elbows from both sides, and at the same time lift your body and heels upward and tighten your anus.

It is recommended to perform the above steps several times in a row, which is beneficial for kidney tonification.

4. Soak your feet in hot water

The most suitable time for foot soaking is from 7 to 9 pm every night, which is the time when the kidney meridian's qi and blood are at their weakest. A wooden basin is the best container for foot soaking. The water for foot soaking should not be too hot; around 40℃ is appropriate. In addition, the foot soaking time should not be too long, 15 to 30 minutes is appropriate. Persistent foot soaking and massage can improve blood circulation throughout the body and nourish the kidneys and liver.
