What are the symptoms of mixed fungal and trichomoniasis infection?

Mixed infection with fungi and trichomoniasis is a relatively common genital disease. Generally, mixed infection with fungi and trichomoniasis is very harmful to the body of women, and the infectious ability is also very strong. It can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. The most obvious symptoms of mixed infection with fungi and trichomoniasis are abnormal leucorrhea or irregular menstruation, which need to be treated in time.

What are the symptoms of mixed fungal and trichomoniasis infection?

Bacterial vaginosis is a type of vaginitis caused primarily by Gardnerella vaginalis and can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Bacterial vaginosis is a disease caused by an increase in Gardnerella and anaerobic bacteria, a decrease in Lactobacillus, and a change in the ecological balance system in the vagina. Among them, Gardnerella also parasitizes in the vagina of healthy women.

Trichomonas fungi are not common in our lives. Only if we treat this disease in time will it be beneficial to our body.

Mixed fungal and trichomonal infection refers to inflammatory lesions caused by vaginal infection with multiple bacteria (such as fungi, bacteria, Trichomonas, etc.) and protozoa, which is a local manifestation of vaginal flora imbalance. In clinical practice, infection with a single pathogen is rare, and most of them are mixed infections. For example, viral infections are often secondary to bacterial infections or treatments.

Symptoms of mixed fungal and trichomonal infection:

1. Mixed fungal and trichomoniasis infection is an infection caused by multiple bacteria, such as fungi, bacteria, Trichomonas, etc. Because the symptoms vary depending on the pathogens of the infection, all types of vaginitis are accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. The vulva may have varying degrees of itching, burning, or pain, and the acute phase may be accompanied by fever.

2. When there is a mixed infection of fungi and Trichomonas, foamy vaginal discharge may appear, and the itching may be aggravated and extremely itchy; when combined with Candida infection, the vaginal discharge may appear curd-like or tofu-like. The leucorrhea increases and may be a thin serous fluid, gray-yellow or yellow-green, sometimes mixed with blood. Some patients have foam in their leucorrhea. Itching and burning of the vulva, and pain during sexual intercourse are also common. When the infection involves the urethra, there may be urinary pain, urgency, and even hematuria.

Experts point out that mixed infection of fungi and trichomoniasis is very harmful to our body, so we must actively treat it and get accurate treatment based on the symptoms of mixed infection of fungi and trichomoniasis.

The difference between candidal vaginitis and trichomonas vaginitis

Symptom Differences:

Symptoms of candidal vaginitis: 1. Increased leucorrhea, itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina, painful urination, redness and edema around the vulva, and various changes in the epidermis;

2. Shallow vesicular papules may occur in groups; eczematous erosions may also occur, which are limited to the vulva or extend to the perineum, around the anus and the femoral genital folds, and even to the inner and outer thighs, completely similar to acute or subacute eczema.

3. The mucous membranes near the labia and clitoris thicken, and the skin surfaces that contact each other become flushed and eroded; in some cases, tiny white pustules may occur, and in severe cases, ulcers, vulvar pain, and local lymph node enlargement may occur.

Symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis:

1. Frequent urination, painful urination, and sometimes hematuria.

2. During the examination, the vaginal mucosa can be seen to be congested. Severe patients have scattered bleeding spots. There is a large amount of leucorrhea in the posterior fornix, which is gray-yellow, yellow-white thin liquid or yellow-green pus. As long as you work hard and take your poop seriously! Sexual secretions are often foamy.

3. There may be no abnormalities found in the vaginal mucosa of carriers. A small number of patients have Trichomonas in the vagina without any inflammatory response, and they are called carriers.

Treatment differences:

Treatment of Trichomonas vaginitis, systemic medication: Metronidazole 400 mg 2-3 times a day, 7 days as a course of treatment. Topical medication: Metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets 200 mg are inserted into the vagina once every night for 7 days as a course of treatment. Before taking the medicine, the vagina can be flushed with 1% lactic acid or 0.1%-0.5% acetic acid solution to improve the vaginal environment and improve the efficacy.

Pay attention to personal hygiene, keep the vulva clean and dry, and try to avoid scratching the vulva which may cause skin damage. Is sexual intercourse prohibited during treatment? Change underwear frequently. Internal medicine, bathing and washing items should be boiled and disinfected for 5-10 minutes to eliminate pathogens and avoid cross and repeated infection.

The cure standard for Trichomonas vaginitis is to check the leucorrhea after each menstruation, and the results must be negative after 3 examinations. This is because Trichomonas vaginitis often recurs after menstruation (pH changes after menstruation).

1. Metronidazole can affect fetal development and is contraindicated before 20 weeks of pregnancy and during lactation.

;2. Trichomonas vaginitis is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse. Sexual partners should be treated at the same time to improve the efficacy;3. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment

Candidal vaginitis is caused by fungal infection, and its incidence rate is second only to Trichomonas vaginitis. The main causes of the disease are sexual contact, contaminated clothing and utensils, and unsterilized sanitary napkins, toilet paper, and panty liners.
