Women feel hot at night but do not sweat

When women reach a certain stage, they often encounter the problem of feeling hot at night, but they do not sweat when they feel hot. This situation can be judged as yin deficiency, because hotness does not mean sweating. It can be adjusted through some methods of traditional Chinese medicine, the effect is good, and recovery will be quick.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, this phenomenon is a sign of yin deficiency.

Due to the deficiency of Yin fluid, Yang cannot be controlled, and the Yang Qi of the body is hyperactive. At night, the Wei Yang moves inside, making the hyperactive Yang Qi in the body even more hyperactive and causing internal heat.

Yin deficiency is usually accompanied by hot flashes, red cheeks, fever in the five parts of the body, night sweats, insomnia, nocturnal emission, red tongue with little coating, and rapid pulse.

Common prescriptions are composed mainly of sweet and cold Yin-nourishing herbs such as Rehmannia root, Ophiopogon japonicus, and Tortoise shell. Representative prescriptions include Liuwei Dihuang Pills, Dabuyin Pills, and Yiguanjian.

Deficiency of Yin fluid refers to a disease characterized by a lack of Yin fluid in the human body due to internal transmission of febrile disease, the transformation of the five emotions into fire, and heat consumption of body fluids. Treatment should focus on nourishing yin. You can eat the following foods on a daily basis: Tremella, pear, sesame, duck, pig's trotter, black-bone chicken, pigeon, bird's nest, turtle, sea cucumber, lily, etc. for conditioning.

(1) 15g each of raw and cooked Rehmannia, 15g of Adenophora dahurica, 20g of turtle shell (pre-boiled), 20g of tortoise shell (pre-boiled), 6g of lotus seed core, 10g of Tianma, 10g of Pinellia ternata, 12g of Yun Fuling, 10g of Acorus calamus, 10g of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 10g of Fritillaria cirrhosa, 12g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 6g of Cimicifuga heracleifolia, 10g of Achyranthes bidentata, and 10g of Phellodendron chinense. Take one dose daily, decocted in water, for 7 to 30 days.

(ii) Take 1 gram of buffalo horn powder daily

Yin fluid deficiency is mostly caused by fever or long-term loss of Yin fluid due to various diseases, or due to excessive five emotions, excessive sexual intercourse, excessive intake of warm and dry products, etc., which cause Yin fluid to be secretly consumed. If Yin fluid is insufficient, the body will lose moisture and nourishment. At the same time, because Yin cannot control Yang, Yang heat is relatively strong and generates internal heat. Therefore, it manifests as multiple symptoms of false heat, dryness, and false fire, restlessness, and restlessness.

Yin deficiency can be seen in lesions of multiple organ systems and tissues. Common ones include lung Yin deficiency syndrome, heart Yin deficiency syndrome, stomach Yin deficiency syndrome, spleen Yin deficiency syndrome, liver Yin deficiency syndrome, kidney Yin deficiency syndrome, etc. The diagnosis is based on the symptoms of various organs.

Yin fluid deficiency can coexist chronically with Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, Yang deficiency, Yang hyperactivity, essence deficiency, body fluid deficiency, and dryness pathogenic factors, or they can be mutually causal, and manifest as Qi and Yin deficiency, Yin-blood deficiency, Yin-Yang deficiency, Yin-Yang hyperactivity, Yin essence deficiency, Yin body fluid deficiency, Yin deficiency, internal dryness, etc. Yin deficiency can then develop into Yang deficiency and Yin loss. Yin deficiency can lead to pathological changes such as wind movement, Qi stagnation, blood stasis, and water retention.

The symptoms of Yin fluid deficiency include Yin deficiency and Yang deficiency. Kidney tonification should be based on the different kidney Yin and Yang, and the corresponding methods should be adopted. People with kidney Yin deficiency often have symptoms such as lung heat, dry throat, sore waist and knees, dizziness, tinnitus, red tongue coating, etc. You can choose sea cucumber, wolfberry, soft-shelled turtle, white fungus, etc. for nourishment; you should eat more cool foods such as yam, Euryale ferox, honeysuckle, mung bean, cassia seed, fish soup, etc.; people with kidney yang deficiency often have symptoms such as chills, mental depression, sore waist, tinnitus, pale tongue, and obesity, so you should choose mutton, deer antler, Cistanche, cinnamon, Alpinia oxyphylla, etc. to nourish them.
