What are the endocrine changes during pregnancy?

We all know that the human endocrine system is particularly important to the human body, because if the endocrine system is out of balance, it will lead to various diseases, not only skin diseases, but also diseases of other organs. Especially for women, if the endocrine system is out of balance, it will particularly affect their mood. As women become pregnant, their endocrine system will also change. So, what changes will occur in the endocrine system during pregnancy?

In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women will experience some obvious physical changes, mainly the following three points:

1. In the early stages of pregnancy, the secretions from the private parts increase, and itching and other discomforts may occur. You should remember to change your underwear frequently. For daily care, you can choose some Chinese herbal lotions, such as Fuyanjie and Huangbai lotion, which contain ingredients such as Stemona japonica and Sophora flavescens, which can effectively kill bacteria and relieve itching, clear away heat and dry dampness, and are safe and healthy for external washing.

2. Pregnant women may experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and poor appetite in the early stages of pregnancy. These are normal. Pay attention to eating a light diet and eating small meals frequently.

In the early stages of pregnancy, endocrine secretions are more than usual. This is normal and there is no need to worry. You must pay attention to personal hygiene, wash your underwear every day, and expose it to the sun, so as to reduce the incidence of gynecological diseases.

If the discharge is discolored or red, it could be minor bleeding in the uterus, which is a sign of miscarriage. If it is white or colorless, it does not matter.

It is normal to have more secretions during pregnancy. Don't worry. Just pay attention to personal hygiene. You must change your underwear every day during pregnancy. Wash your genitals every day. It is best to use clean water and don't use any lotion.

During pregnancy, the pituitary gland proliferates 1 to 2 times, and the number of eosinophils increases, which are called "pregnancy cells." Recovery can be achieved in about 10 days after delivery. Because the corpus luteum and placenta of pregnancy secrete a large amount of estrogen and progesterone, which have a negative feedback effect on the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, the secretion of gonadotropin is reduced. Therefore, the follicles in the ovaries no longer mature and ovulation occurs during pregnancy. Pituitary prolactin gradually increases with the progress of pregnancy and is 20 times that of the non-pregnant period before full-term delivery. Prolactin promotes mammary gland development and prepares for postpartum lactation. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) increase, but free thyroid hormone and cortisol do not increase, so pregnant women usually do not have symptoms of hyperthyroidism or hyperadrenocortical function. Testosterone increases slightly, and pregnant women will experience an increase in the thickness of their pubic and armpit hair.
