I feel like my period is coming but it's not coming

Menstruation, or to put it in a more popular way, period, is something that makes girls unhappy. Because the mood is always changeable during menstruation, sometimes happy, sometimes depressed; and some girls also have severe dysmenorrhea, they feel half dead before and during menstruation, and have to rely on painkillers to get through it. Although menstruation is so annoying, we still have our menstruation normally every month. What happens if you sometimes feel that your period is about to come but it doesn’t?

You should go to the hospital for an ultrasound. Check the thickness of the endometrium to see if your period is coming soon. Can medication be used to induce menstruation? These can only be known through examination. After menstruation, you can do a six-item hormone test to see if there is any endocrine disorder.

Menstruation is a physiological cycle that occurs in some fertile female humans and in chimpanzees and other animals. Cows, horses, camels, pigs, and sheep also menstruate, and some mammals experience estrus cycles. In women of childbearing age and female primates, the endometrium undergoes cyclical changes every month or so, with autonomous thickening, blood vessel proliferation, glandular growth and secretion, and endometrial collapse and shedding accompanied by bleeding. This periodic vaginal discharge or uterine bleeding is called menstruation.

Generally there are no special symptoms, but sometimes there may be general discomfort, fatigue, breast tenderness, swelling of hands and feet, soreness and heaviness in the lower abdomen and back, etc. There may also be constipation, diarrhea (prostaglandin effect), frequent urination and poor appetite. Some patients experience symptoms such as headache, insomnia, palpitations, depression or irritability, which usually disappear naturally after menstruation.

Ovulation date:

The menstrual cycle refers to regular, periodic uterine bleeding. Along with this bleeding, there should be maturation of follicles, ovulation and formation of corpus luteum in the ovaries, and proliferation and secretory changes in the endometrium. Ovulation is affected by endocrine hormones from the pituitary gland and ovaries and changes periodically. The length of the cycles of the two is the same, with one cycle per month, and ovulation occurs between two menstrual periods. Women's menstrual cycles vary in length, but the interval between ovulation and the start of the next menstruation is relatively fixed, usually around 14 days. The calculation method is to count from the first day of the next menstrual period, and count down 14 days or subtract 14 days to get the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. For example, a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the first day of this menstruation is December 2nd. Then the next menstruation will be on December 30th (December 2nd plus 28 days). Then subtract 14 days from December 30th, and December 16th is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after it, that is, from December 11th to 20th is the ovulation period.

In addition, in the menstrual cycle, except for the menstrual period and ovulation period, the rest of the time is the safe period. So there is a safe period before ovulation and a safe period after ovulation in the menstrual cycle. In fact, this is also the theoretical basis of the safe period contraceptive method. However, to calculate the ovulation period using this method, you must first know the length of your menstrual cycle in order to calculate the exact time of the next menstrual period, and then calculate the ovulation period. Therefore, this method is only suitable for women with normal menstrual cycles. For women with irregular menstrual cycles, it is impossible to calculate the date of the next menstrual period. Therefore, it is impossible to calculate the ovulation day and ovulation period.
