The color of pelvic fluid

The color of pelvic fluid

The importance of the pelvic cavity is self-evident, mainly because it contains important reproductive organs such as the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Many women suffer from infertility due to lesions in these three organs. Pelvic effusion is not only a manifestation of disease, but may also be caused by physiological reasons. The color of this fluid is what patients are most concerned about. So, what is the color of the pelvic fluid? Let’s take a look below.

Currently, uterine effusion is mostly pink or dark brown liquid, and pelvic effusion exudate is generally colorless and transparent. Pelvic effusion is the inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity, which can be a pathological manifestation after endometritis, adnexitis or endometriosis.

A small number of pelvic effusions are caused by the downward infiltration of tissue fluid during ovulation and menstruation, which is a normal physiological phenomenon.

Symptoms of pelvic effusion

1. Feeling of falling, pain in the lower abdomen and lumbar sacral region

What are the symptoms of pelvic effusion in women? The main symptoms are a feeling of heaviness, pain on one or both sides of the lower abdomen, scar adhesions caused by chronic inflammation, and pelvic congestion, which can lead to lower abdominal distension, pain, and soreness in the lumbar region. It is often more severe after fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.

2. Decreased immunity

The systemic symptoms of pelvic effusion are mostly not obvious, and sometimes there may be low fever and fatigue. Some patients with a long course of illness may have symptoms of neurasthenia, such as lack of energy, general discomfort, insomnia, etc. When the patient's resistance is poor, he or she is prone to acute or subacute attacks.

3. Menstrual disorders

Patients with pelvic congestion may have increased menstruation; when ovarian function is damaged, there may be menstrual disorders; when the fallopian tubes are blocked by adhesions, it may cause female infertility.

4. Infertility: Infertility is the most common symptom of pelvic effusion. If a female friend suffers from inflammation that causes blockage of the fallopian tubes, infertility will occur. Generally, during clinical examination, it will be found that the patient's uterus is in a retroverted position, which restricts its movement, or adhesions have occurred.

5. Lower abdominal pain: If a female friend suffers from pelvic effusion, she will have symptoms such as adhesion and pelvic bleeding due to chronic disease. Some people will also have symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, bloating, and heaviness. Especially after fatigue, the pain symptoms will worsen.
