Why does it itch down there?

Why does it itch down there?

If our face itches, we can scratch it directly. If our arms, back, and legs itch, we can also use tools to scratch them. But apart from this, there are some more private parts that can itch. Since the itching area is rather special and the cause of the itching is unclear, most people will not seek medical attention immediately. After all, being asked these questions will make people feel embarrassed. But from a scientific point of view, we should still understand why it itches down there?

Vaginal itching is a symptom caused by various vaginal diseases, but it can also occur in people with completely normal vaginas. When the itching worsens, patients often become restless, which affects their life and work.

Local causes

(A) Special infections: Candidal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common causes of vulvar itching. Lice and scabies can also cause itching. The itching around the anus and vulva of young girls caused by enterobiasis usually only occurs at night.

(ii) Chronic vulvar dystrophy is characterized by severe itching, accompanied by whitening of the vulvar skin.

(III) Drug allergy or chemical irritation: Soap, condoms, Sanisol, mercurochrome, etc. may cause contact dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergy, resulting in itching symptoms.

(IV) Bad hygiene habits: Not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, sebum, sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions, and even urine and feces soaking, long-term stimulation of the vulva can cause itching: using rubber or plastic menstrual belts during menstruation, and wearing non-breathable chemical fiber underwear at other times can induce itching due to the accumulation of damp heat. It should be noted that when cleaning the vulva every day, it is more appropriate to use a female care solution with a weak acid formula of Ph4.

(V) Other skin lesions, abrasions, common warts, herpes, eczema, and tumors can all cause vulvar itching.

(6) Sexual allergy: This is an allergic reaction that occurs during sexual intercourse. They are allergy to semen, condom allergy, and friction allergy.

General Prevention

These common diseases of the female vulva are all related to excessive secretions and long-term local irritation. Therefore, preventive measures should be taken from the following aspects: 1. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene and keep the vulva clean and dry. 2. Treat chronic inflammation of the reproductive tract, such as cervicitis, vaginitis and other diseases that are likely to cause excessive leucorrhea. 3. Choose cotton underwear and don't wear underwear that is too tight. 4. Note that when cleaning the vulva every day, it is more appropriate to use a feminine care solution with a weak acid formula. It is best not to use clean water or soap to clean the vulva, and avoid scratching with your hands or instruments. 5. Eat less spicy food. 6. Pay attention to hygiene during sexual intercourse to avoid sexually transmitted diseases

Five tricks

1. Eat more coarse grains, such as oats, brown rice, corn, pumpkin, whole wheat bread, etc., which can supplement B vitamins and strengthen the skin. Red dates, wolfberries, and various nuts have the effect of nourishing blood, nourishing yin, and nourishing the skin, so you can eat more of them appropriately. Spicy food will damage yin fluid and aggravate dry skin; fishy and wind-inducing foods such as lamb and seafood will increase skin itching, so it is recommended to eat less or not eat them.

2. Wear loose cotton or silk clothes to avoid friction between chemical fiber clothing and skin, and avoid irritation to the skin caused by static electricity from clothes. It is recommended to wash newly bought underwear before wearing to prevent skin allergies caused by chemical residues in the clothing manufacturing process.

3. Ensure sleep, relax and exercise moderately.

4. Strengthen skin touch. Touching a baby can help the baby stabilize his emotions and develop healthily. The same goes for the skin, which needs our care to be healthy. Dryness, itching, stinging and other phenomena are all the skin's protest to us. Although scratching with sharp nails can temporarily relieve the problem, it will cause greater damage to the skin, thus creating a vicious cycle and causing the itching to become more and more severe. The method of touch is: apply moisturizing lotion or essential oil all over your body before going to bed every night, and gently massage the skin all over your body with warm palms and fingertips. For areas with severe itching, increase the strength appropriately.

5. Actively treat medical diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, etc. that can cause or aggravate skin itching.
