Pain in the breast

Pain in the breast

Breasts are special organs in the female body, a unique symbol of women, and an important organ for women to nurture their offspring. Therefore, women must take good care of their breasts in daily life. Breast health is very important. Breast care is different at different times. If there is a breast disease, you must go to the hospital for examination and effective treatment in time.

What causes pain in the breast?

1. Caused by menstruation: This kind of pain is obviously related to menstruation. Usually, it causes breast swelling and pain two or three days before menstruation due to increased blood supply, and gradually disappears after menstruation. Due to its obvious relationship with menstruation, it usually does not cause trouble to the person concerned.

2. The pain is caused by pressure from an ill-fitting bra, which can be relieved by changing the bra.

3. Excessive breast size causes drooping and discomfort.

4. Pain caused by breast trauma.

5. Redness, swelling, heat and pain caused by breast inflammation and infection. Mastitis is particularly prone to occur during lactation. Proper treatment (such as administration of antibiotics and appropriate massage) can quickly relieve the symptoms.

6. Breast cancer itself rarely causes pain. Pain will only occur when the cancer worsens and invades nearby tissues such as the skin or chest wall.

Breast care

1. Infancy and childhood

Children are in the infant and childhood period from two months to about ten years old. During this period, girls' breasts are in an undeveloped state and they generally will not suffer from any diseases and do not need special protection. Just do not rub or pinch their breasts with your hands and avoid any behavior that may damage the breasts.

2. Puberty

Breast protection in the early stages of puberty: Breasts of girls aged 11 or 12 generally begin to develop. The nipples will develop nodules and be slightly swollen and painful, the breasts will gradually become fuller, and then puberty will begin. What should be noted during this period is that girls should develop the habit of wearing bras. The bra size should be appropriate. If the bra is too big, it will not support and protect the breasts; if the bra is too small, it will hinder the development of the breasts. If a girl is over fifteen and her breasts have not developed, she should go to the hospital for a check-up. During adolescence, due to the influence of estrogen in the human body, the breasts are prone to benign tumors. Therefore, once you find a lump in your breast, you should go to the hospital for examination in time, and breast lumps require the "three early treatments".

3. Pregnancy

Breast protection during pregnancy Generally speaking, when a woman is pregnant, her breasts will increase significantly. During this period, pregnant women should wear looser tops and pay attention to keeping their breasts clean. Every day, you should gently wash the nipples and areolas with soap and warm water, then wipe them with a towel, and gradually switch to using a rough towel. The purpose is to exercise the skin and make it more resistant to friction. This way, the nipples will not be easily scratched when feeding the baby. In addition, after each cleaning, you should apply a layer of oil on the nipples and areola to prevent nipple cracking. If a pregnant woman's nipples are concave or flat, she should gently pull them outward with her hands every day, or use a breast pump to pump out the nipples. In this way, the nipple can be corrected and the newborn will have no difficulty in feeding.

4. Lactation

Breast protection: The lactation period is the period when breast function is active. During this period, you should pay attention to breast hygiene. Wash your nipples clean before each feeding. Also pay attention to correct breastfeeding to prevent milk accumulation. Generally speaking, a mother can breastfeed half an hour after giving birth, and then every three to four hours, trying to empty the milk each time. The breasts should be lifted up when breastfeeding, and after breastfeeding, the hands should be used to massage along the direction of the milk ducts.

5. Menopause and old age

Breast protection during menopause and old age According to surveys and analyses, women are more likely to get breast cancer after the age of 40. Therefore, during this period, you should pay special attention to whether there are lumps in your breasts. If you find small lumps with unclear boundaries, uneven surfaces, which cannot be pushed under the skin, and milk secretion, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time.
