There is a hard lump next to the vulva

What causes a hard lump next to the vulva? In fact, many female friends often encounter this problem. But since this hard lump doesn't hurt or itch, I don't care about it. In fact, the occurrence of this situation is likely caused by folliculitis. So, how do we treat folliculitis? Let’s take a look at it below, and I hope female friends will pay attention to it.

Folliculitis is related to endocrine system, diet and sweating. You can apply clindamycin metronidazole ointment externally or take metronidazole orally. Do not eat hot peppers, drink alcohol, stay up late, or use skin care products. Go to the hospital's dermatology department if necessary.

Causes

The pathogens are mainly Staphylococci, and Staphylococcus epidermidis can sometimes be isolated. Uncleanliness, scratching and low body resistance may be the causes of this disease.

Clinical manifestations

It initially appears as a red, solid papule consistent with the opening of the hair follicle, or it starts with follicular impetigo, and then rapidly develops into a papule-pustule, with the hair running through the middle and redness and inflammation all around, followed by drying and scabbing. It heals after about a week of scab falling off, but there are also cases of recurrence and no healing for many years. Some may also develop into deep infection, forming furuncles, carbuncles, etc., which generally do not leave scars. The number of rashes is large, isolated and scattered, and the patient feels mild pain. In adults, it mainly occurs in hairy areas, and in children, it is more common on the head. The rashes can sometimes merge with each other, and small bald spots may remain after healing.

Other causes of folliculitis

1. Other conditions such as irregular diet, vitamin deficiency, gastrointestinal dysfunction, etc. may also lead to the onset of folliculitis.

2. Certain primary diseases: such as hormonal dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, acne, itchy skin diseases, diabetes, chronic lesions, etc. are often accompanied by folliculitis to varying degrees.

3. Corticosteroids damage the skin's ecological environment: one of the typical symptoms of hormone residues under the skin and "withdrawal rebound" after stopping hormone use is bacterial and fungal infection.

4. Skin immersion: such as constant sweating, constant stimulation by various liquids, and failure to clean in time, which can clog the pores and cause inflammation.

5. Skin damage caused by excessive pulling and friction of hair, so we would like to remind all beauty lovers not to excessively perm or dye their hair.
