If a pregnant woman has this symptom in the late stages of pregnancy, she must go to the hospital in time. Many people believe that delivery will not happen soon after spotting. If it is the first child, delivery will not happen so soon after spotting. If it is the second child, it is best to go to the hospital quickly after spotting. So how can spotting speed up labor pains?

How to speed up labor after spotting

The muscles extending from the cervix into the uterus are called the soft birth canal. The situation in which the muscles harden and the cervix is difficult to open is called "soft and tough birth canal". Due to the effects of hormones and labor pains, the cervix becomes soft, but if the soft birth canal cannot open, you can use medication or perform a cesarean section.

1. Delivery is carried out according to specific circumstances: Due to the influence of hormones, the cervix gradually softens, and the pressure of the fetal head causes the mother's cervix to expand. However, the mother's physical condition and mood will affect the opening and closing of the cervix. The most important thing is that mothers should understand that intense labor pains and the opening and closing of the uterus are complementary to each other.

2. The cervix opens but the contractions are weak: If the contractions become stronger but the cervix does not open, the fetus will not be born. Only when both aspects are carried out simultaneously can the birth of the fetus be promoted. Muscle tension can cause muscles to become stiff. The simplest example is when you clench your fist, your palm becomes hard, and when you unclench your fist, your palm becomes soft. By the same token, if you keep your mood good and your body relaxed, the cervix will open more easily. In fact, tension is not good for normal childbirth. Mothers should face childbirth with a relaxed attitude. Generally speaking, the delivery situations of sisters are very similar. If the mother has sisters, she can consult them about their delivery experience.

Why is spotting a sign of labor?

Within 24-48 hours before delivery, the cervix begins to move, causing the fetal membrane near the cervix to separate from the uterine wall, capillaries to rupture and a small amount of blood to be discharged through the vagina and mixed with the mucus in the cervical canal. This bloody mucus that flows out through the vagina is what we commonly call "red show".

"Showing blood" is a reliable sign that delivery is about to begin. Therefore, when the due date has arrived and there are irregular uterine contractions, pregnant women should promptly detect this sign, especially when they find that the shorts near the vaginal opening feel damp and uncomfortable. They should immediately check whether there is such bloody secretion on the shorts. If there is, they should go to the obstetrics and gynecology hospital without delay to prevent accidents.

Some conditions can also cause vaginal bleeding. But generally speaking, if the prenatal examination is normal, there are no abnormal conditions at other times, the due date arrives, and there have been irregular uterine contractions, then if bloody mucus is found flowing out of the vagina, these are reliable signs of impending delivery.
