After confirming pregnancy, it doesn't mean that everything is fine. Multiple physical examinations are required. Pregnant women who have experienced this may often hear terms such as yolk sac and gestational sac. For ordinary people, these professional terms are of course difficult to understand, which hinders us from understanding our own pregnancy. So, what does the presence of a yolk sac in the gestational sac mean? Let’s take a look below. Is the yolk sac a gestational sac? Before the embryo is seen, when the gestational sac is still small, you may only see the yolk sac at first. As the embryo grows, the yolk sac will gradually disappear. The gestational sac and the yolk sac are not the same. The gestational sac is the primitive placental tissue, a small embryo wrapped by the amniotic membrane and vascular network. The gestational sac is the initial form of pregnancy. At that time, the fetus has not yet formed, and the gestational sac comes first, followed by the yolk sac. When the embryonic sac can be seen on B-ultrasound, it is almost the same time when the yolk sac appears. First there is the yolk sac, then the embryonic bud and the fetal heart. The presence of a yolk sac indicates that the embryo can develop. 1. The gestational sac is the initial form of pregnancy. It is a small embryo wrapped in the original placental tissue by the amniotic membrane and vascular network. The fetus had not yet formed at that time, but the fetal heartbeat was already there when the embryo bud appeared. 2. The gestational sac is very small at the beginning and then grows slowly. Generally speaking, after 5 weeks of pregnancy, a small gestational sac can be seen on B-ultrasound, which occupies less than 1/4 of the uterine cavity, or a fetal bud can be seen. If it is a normal intrauterine pregnancy, the gestational sac can be seen in the uterus through B-ultrasound around 40 days of pregnancy. However, due to individual differences in the time of conception, some pregnant women may not be able to see it until around 45 days. 3. Usually, when HCG reaches 1000U/L, vaginal ultrasound should be able to identify the intrauterine gestational sac. This is around the 4th or 5th day of the 5th week of pregnancy. When HCG reaches 6500U/L, abdominal ultrasound can identify the intrauterine gestational sac. Therefore, vaginal ultrasound will be more accurate. If the intrauterine gestational sac is not seen on the 49th day of pregnancy during a normal menstrual cycle, ectopic pregnancy should be suspected. Daily care for pregnant women 1. Nutrition Moisturize the skin If your skin is very dry, you can consume foods rich in unsaturated fatty acids or linoleic acid, such as vegetables and fish. This is not only good for your own health and the development of the fetus, but also a good way to nourish the skin. 2. Carefully take care of sensitive skin When using moisturizing lotion on your face, it is recommended that you massage your facial skin a few more times than usual, using small circular motions. In addition, try to avoid using oily lotions, scrubs, or cleansers containing fragrances or alcohol to clean your face, because these cleaning products will more or less irritate skin that is particularly sensitive due to pregnancy. 3. Choose the right shower gel Bathing with plain water is the safest and most reliable, and it will not cause any adverse reactions to the skin, but excessive bathing will irritate your skin. Because of pregnancy, your skin becomes more delicate, so you should pay special attention when bathing. 4. Avoid prolonged ultraviolet rays Sun protection is also a must in winter. In addition, during pregnancy, skin melanin is more active, so you should try to avoid prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays. |
