How to delay your period for a few days

Menstruation occurs in every female after she reaches puberty. The onset of menstruation marks the gradual maturity of female sexual organs. Menstruation has been with every woman for decades, like an old friend. Female friends all hope that their menstruation is normal and comes on time, which is a sign that the female body is relatively healthy. But sometimes women don’t want their period to come on time when they encounter some important occasions. So what should we do?

If you want to postpone your period for a few days for some special reason, how can you postpone your period? Taking birth control pills is an effective way to delay menstruation. There are roughly two types of drugs that can delay menstruation, one is the birth control pill, and the other is a simple progestin. The two drugs have similar mechanisms of action, but are generally not recommended for changing the menstrual cycle or delaying or advancing menstruation. Taking these drugs will not only affect the normal menstruation, but in severe cases it will also lead to amenorrhea and infertility.

In fact, menstruation occurs because the endometrium loses the support of estrogen and progesterone. Artificial supplementation of estrogen or progesterone, especially progesterone, can allow the endometrium to continue to receive hormonal support, maintain a state of continued thickening, and grow firmly on the uterine wall, thereby achieving the purpose of delaying menstruation. This principle can explain why taking birth control pills delays menstruation.

1. Drink vinegar method:

Drinking vinegar to delay menstruation is a healthier method, and the method is very simple. Female friends drink a spoonful of vinegar every night, which can delay menstruation for about 3 to 4 days. However, after menstruation, the amount on the first day will be very little, and on the second day, the menstrual amount will return to normal.

2. How to delay menstruation for a few days? Experts say that taking birth control pills can also delay menstruation. Clinical practice shows that taking birth control pills is very effective in delaying menstruation. The method of taking is:

1. If a female friend has regular menstruation, she can start taking oral contraceptives 3 to 5 days before her period. Female friends who want to delay their menstruation can take one pill every night. Usually they need to take it continuously. Under normal circumstances, menstruation will come 3 to 5 days after stopping the medication.

2. For female friends who are taking short-acting contraceptives, after taking 22 tablets, continue to take them continuously, so that menstruation can be delayed.

3. If you want to postpone your period for a few days, then in the second half of the menstrual cycle, it is best to start taking oral contraceptives continuously from about 7 days before the next menstruation. Female friends should note that you must take 2 tablets a day and continue taking them until 3 days before the date of your scheduled delayed menstruation. This method can also delay menstruation for a few days.

However, in daily life, many female friends take birth control pills for 2-3 months in a row, or take pills for several months at a time in order to reduce the frequency of menstruation. This is a very incorrect practice and is not advisable.

Through the above introduction, female friends should understand that what needs to be noted is that no matter what method is used to artificially delay the time of menstruation, it may cause harm to female friends. In severe cases, it may affect female fertility and cause infertility. Therefore, when using the above methods, female friends should think twice before acting.
