Breast pain a few days before menstruation

Menstruation is a normal physiological reaction that every developed woman will experience. It may exist until you are in your fifties. Menstruation may be accompanied by abdominal pain. When menstruation is about to come, the body will give you some clues, such as unexplained abdominal pain or abnormal vaginal discharge, etc. Some people also have other phenomena. So is it normal to have swollen and painful breasts a few days before menstruation?

Premenstrual syndrome refers to a syndrome that occurs periodically before menstruation and affects women's daily life and work, involving physical, mental and behavioral symptoms, which will disappear naturally after menstruation. The clinical symptoms of this disease are diverse and vary in severity. The main symptoms are cyclical and can be summarized into three aspects: physical symptoms: headache, breast tenderness, abdominal distension, limb edema, weight gain, and decreased motor coordination. Mental symptoms: irritability, anxiety, depression, emotional instability, fatigue, etc. Behavioral changes: lack of concentration, low efficiency, etc.

Breast pain before and after menstruation is often considered to be a manifestation of breast hyperplasia caused by endocrine disorders. The relatively high estrogen level in the body stimulates the glands to cause hyperplasia and pain. You can use Chinese medicine for conditioning, pay attention to your diet, and maintain a good attitude. Eat less spicy food, eat more fruits and vegetables, don't stay up late, and live a regular life.

It could be pregnancy. If ovulation occurs during intercourse and contraception is not used, the chances of pregnancy are very high. It is recommended to use an early pregnancy test strip. If it does not show pregnancy, it is recommended to go to the hospital to check the cause of delayed menstruation.

Ovarian pathology should be excluded. It is recommended to go to the hospital's gynecology clinic for a check-up and do a color Doppler ultrasound examination of the ovaries and adnexa to rule out inflammation and hyperplasia, and then take targeted medication or surgical treatment based on the specific lesions, and pay attention to it.

Most women will experience a certain degree of breast pain before menstruation. This is related to endocrine system and generally has no impact, so there is no need to worry. The symptoms you mentioned cannot determine whether you are pregnant. They may also be symptoms of endocrine disorders. It is best to wait and see whether your menstruation comes normally next month. If not, you should consider pregnancy.

Breast tenderness before menstruation is a symptom of qi stagnation and blood stasis, which can be caused by drinking cold food, being emotionally agitated and angry. If you have had sexual intercourse recently, the possibility of pregnancy cannot be ruled out. It is recommended that you do an early pregnancy test. If it has been about 50 days since the first day of the last menstrual period, you can do an ultrasound examination to confirm the diagnosis.
