What is the reason for a girl's big belly

There are many reasons why young girls have an enlarged belly, including both physiological and disease reasons. For example, excessive obesity and pregnancy may lead to such a phenomenon. Of course, some gastrointestinal diseases and frequent symptoms of intestinal bloating may also cause such a phenomenon. In addition, we need to be vigilant that some gynecological diseases may also induce such symptoms, such as ovarian cysts, etc.

1. Affecting the digestive tract

From the perspective of the digestive tract, symptoms caused by spleen deficiency generally include: loss of appetite, picky eating, and loss of taste in the mouth. The spleen plays a very important role in the digestion and absorption of food, so almost all gastrointestinal diseases can occur or be accompanied by spleen deficiency.

Spleen deficiency usually causes loose stools, but it may also cause dry stools and constipation, because spleen deficiency can cause a lack of motility in the stomach and intestines.

2. Edema and obesity

If a person is not fat but has a big belly, it means he has edema, because the spleen affects the human muscles. Once the spleen starts to become weak, symptoms such as general fatigue, sweating, and shortness of breath will appear. This will cause edema. People are too thin because of spleen deficiency, inability to transport and transform food normally, indigestion, and malnutrition. Obesity is caused by spleen deficiency which produces dampness. Heavy dampness makes it difficult to transport and transform the dampness, which causes it to remain in the body, especially in the lower abdomen. Obesity caused by spleen dampness often also means belly obesity.

3. Teeth marks on the tongue

The shape of the tongue can show whether the spleen is healthy. A healthy tongue should be flesh-red in color, with a thin layer of tongue coating that is not sticky. If there are obvious teeth marks on the edge of the tongue, there is a high probability that there is a problem with spleen deficiency.

An enlarged tongue with tooth marks on the edge of the tongue are typical manifestations of spleen deficiency. When the spleen and stomach are weak, they cannot transport moisture in the body. The moisture will gather on the tongue, and the enlarged tongue and teeth will squeeze to form tooth marks.

At the same time, in summer, people with damp spleen often feel sticky in the mouth and have a dull and yellow complexion.

4. Decreased appetite

When moisture enters the body, it is most likely to damage the spleen. The main function of the spleen is to digest and absorb various foods and liquids eaten into the body, convert these substances into nutrients that can be used by the human body, and provide new energy for human metabolism. Most people will experience a decrease in appetite and digestive function in the hot and humid environment of summer. However, there are also some people whose appetite is not affected and they have a strong sense of hunger, but they feel full after eating. This is also a sign of a strong stomach and a weak spleen.

Take a look at TCM's analysis of spleen deficiency:

1. Spleen deficiency: abdominal distension, poor appetite, worse distension after eating, limb fatigue, tiredness, lack of energy, laziness to speak, weight loss, or obesity and edema, pale tongue coating.

2. Spleen Yang Deficiency: loose stools, poor appetite and abdominal distension, persistent abdominal pain, likes warmth and pressure, is afraid of cold, has cold limbs, has a dull or swollen face, has scanty urine or has excessive and clear white vaginal discharge, and has a slippery white tongue coating.

3. Sinking of Qi in the middle part: such as chronic diarrhea, rectal prolapse, uterine prolapse, etc.

4. Spleen fails to regulate blood: often seen in chronic bleeding diseases, such as menorrhagia, metrorrhagia, bloody stool, epistaxis, subcutaneous hemorrhage, etc. In addition to bleeding, there will be some symptoms of spleen deficiency.

There are other symptoms of spleen deficiency, such as enlarged tongue with tooth marks around the tongue, easy hiccups, dry and chapped lips, loose stools and diarrhea, bleeding gums, unformed stools, red rashes due to allergies, etc. These are all caused by spleen deficiency due to dampness.

What should you do if you have this situation? If the spleen is weak, you need to adjust the spleen and stomach, that is, eliminate dampness.

How to regulate the spleen and stomach and eliminate dampness?

1. Exercise to remove dampness and protect the spleen and stomach

Don't sweat too much during exercise. During the Grain Rain season, all things rely on rain to grow, and the human body has sufficient body fluids. If you sweat too much, it will affect the health of your qi and blood in the summer. At this time, you should follow the principle of "relaxing your body, avoiding sweating, and nourishing the internal organs". You can choose to exercise in the form of outings, jogging, etc.

2. Diet therapy to strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness

To maintain a healthy spleen and stomach, you must pay attention to dietary norms and eat more plant protein, vegetable oil and vitamin-rich foods, such as whole grains, beans, vegetables, fruits, etc.

We should eat less raw, cold and greasy food, and our daily diet should be mainly warm, nourishing and light, so that the stomach and intestines can clean out residual toxins. Food should not be too spicy or too cold, as this will damage the spleen and stomach mucosa. Food that is too cold will damage the spleen and stomach, leading to dysfunction of transportation and transformation. At the same time, you should also eat less hard, sticky, fried, spicy and other foods.
