How to care for eczema in breastfeeding babies

Many mothers are troubled by eczema in their babies during breastfeeding, because they don’t know how to help their babies care and solve the problem more effectively. In fact, this phenomenon of babies getting eczema is quite common. At this time, we should pay attention to the care in life, such as choosing clothes, try to choose cotton materials for underwear, loose clothes, and also pay attention to the choice of bathing and skin care products.

1. For clothing, underwear can be made of cotton material, all collars should preferably be made of cotton, and clothing should be loose, light and soft. It is best to use cotton bedding. Clothes, pillows, bedding, etc. should be changed frequently and kept dry. In daily life care, avoid overheating and sweating. And keep your baby away from allergens such as feathers, animal hair, pollen, and chemical fibers. Clothes and quilts should not be made of silk, wool, chemical fiber and other products.

2. Bathing and skin care. It is best to bathe with warm water, avoid using alkaline bath products with strong degreasing effects, and choose acidic bath products. Choose hypoallergenic or anti-allergenic skin care products, and it is best to perform skin sensitivity testing to understand the skin's reaction to the skin care products used and prevent allergies in a timely manner.

3. In terms of environment, the room temperature should not be too high, otherwise it will aggravate the itching of eczema. Allergens should be minimized in the environment to reduce allergic reactions caused by irritation.

4. Keep your baby's bowel movements smooth and his sleep adequate.

5. If the baby has eczema, the mother must avoid eating chicken, eggs, fish, bamboo shoots, beef, mutton, strawberries, pineapples, mangoes, oranges, peanuts, onions, ginger, garlic, nuts and milk if the baby is breastfed. In addition, babies with eczema must not be bathed too often, and overheated water should not be used to contact red and swollen skin, because when the skin is exposed to heat, blood circulation is accelerated, which will make the condition worse, and frequent washing will cause infection in damaged skin.
