Is vaginitis easy to cure? Proper treatment is important!

Vaginitis has become a gynecological disease that troubles many women. Some people worry that the disease cannot be cured, while others find that vaginitis will recur. Here we clearly tell you that as long as the treatment method is correct, vaginitis can be completely cured.

1. Can vaginitis be cured?

Many women suffer from vaginal inflammation. Can vaginitis be cured? Some types of vaginitis are relatively easy to treat, while others may recur. But in fact, as long as the right treatment method is used, vaginitis can basically be cured. Vaginitis is divided into several types due to different causes. Patients can determine what type of vaginitis they have based on their symptoms. Of course, it is best to go for a gynecological examination and routine leucorrhea examination first. It will be more conducive to treatment and recovery to clarify the cause and then use medication.

Vaginitis is divided into bacterial vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, senile vaginitis, juvenile vaginitis and vaginitis during pregnancy. Among them, Trichomonas vaginitis and candidal vaginitis are both relatively stubborn and prone to recurrence, so patients need to be more patient during treatment and not give up halfway. Be sure to wait for a period of time after the inflammation has completely disappeared before stopping the medication to avoid recurring inflammation and pay attention to personal hygiene habits. In addition, everyone should know that vaginitis is a very common gynecological disease. Many women have this problem. As long as symptomatic treatment is given and the individual pays more attention to his or her daily life, the disease will heal faster.

2. How to treat vaginitis

1. Bacterial vaginitis: The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge with a fishy odor, which is especially aggravated after sexual intercourse and may be accompanied by mild vulvar itching or burning sensation. Topical medications can be used for treatment, such as metronidazole suppositories, once a night for 7 consecutive days. Or take meprobamate (clomiphene) for 3 days. If other pathogens are detected, use medication to target them and avoid the abuse of antibiotics.

2. Trichomonas vaginitis: If Trichomonas multiplies in large numbers in the vagina, vaginal secretions will increase and the vulva will feel tingling and itching. The treatment method is to use vaginal suppositories after washing the vagina. After 3 to 4 times of continuous treatment, the stinging and itching in the vagina will be relieved. After that, daily treatment should be continued for about two weeks. Treating this type of vaginitis requires considerable patience and you cannot give up halfway, otherwise it will be difficult to cure.

3. Candidal vaginitis: The inflammation caused by vaginal infection with Candida albicans is called candidal vaginitis. It is most common in pregnant women. Candida can survive in an environment with low acidity. During treatment, you can take vaginal suppositories such as trichomoniasis and apply ointment to the genitals. The treatment should be continued for at least 2 weeks because candidal vaginitis is prone to recurrence.

3. What should I pay attention to when treating vaginitis?

1. Wear cotton underwear and change it frequently. The clothes should be breathable. The towel and basin for cleaning the vulva should be separate. Washed underwear should be placed in the sun to dry, not in the bathroom, otherwise it will easily breed bacteria.

2. After defecation, wipe from front to back to avoid bringing Candida albicans from the anus to the vagina.

3. Make sure the treatment is thorough and prevent recurrence. Many patients with vaginitis stop treatment after their symptoms are alleviated, which causes the infection to rebound, resulting in repeated attacks of vaginitis and long-term failure to cure. The duration of treatment for candidal infection during pregnancy is longer than that during the non-pregnancy period, and the treatment duration should be extended by at least 7 days, or even 2 weeks.

4. Do not use antibiotics in large quantities without authorization. Excessive use of antibiotics can cause bacteria to develop drug resistance and may also destroy the balanced relationship between vaginal flora, increasing the difficulty of treatment and aggravating the condition.

5. There are many types of vaginitis, and different types of vaginitis require different medications. Women should avoid blindly buying medication on their own after suffering from vaginitis.

6. Types of vaginitis such as trichomoniasis and fungal vaginitis can be transmitted between partners. Therefore, if a woman suffers from vaginitis, her sexual partner may also be a carrier. Therefore, both parties should receive treatment during the treatment, and sexual intercourse should be prohibited during the acute infection period to avoid cross infection.
