What to do if you have premature ovarian failure and amenorrhea? How to treat it

If a female friend experiences premature ovarian failure and has already developed symptoms, she should seek medical treatment in a timely manner. Amenorrhea indicates that the body's endocrine system has lost balance. Delaying treatment will only cause more irreversible damage to the ovaries.

Treatment of premature ovarian failure

1. Induce follicle development: After a period of artificial cycle treatment, use a small dose of estrogen alone, such as diethylstilbestrol and ethinyl estradiol, once a night for 3 weeks and then stop for 1 week. Regardless of whether there is withdrawal bleeding or not, the second cycle of treatment will be started. Three cycles constitute a course of treatment. After the estrogen level has increased slightly and FSH and LH have been suppressed, HMG can be appropriately used to stimulate follicle development and even ovulation.

2. Immunosuppressants: Cortisol can be used to treat premature ovarian failure in patients with adrenal cortex dysfunction.

3. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine or a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine to treat premature ovarian failure: commonly used Yin-nourishing and fire-reducing, kidney-tonifying and blood-activating drugs are combined with estrogen to gradually restore ovarian function.

4. Artificial cycle: Periodic supplementation of estrogen and progesterone can avoid epithelial atrophy and calcium loss of the reproductive organs, protect the cardiovascular system, and prevent changes in lipid metabolism. Oral estrogen can be started at any time. For example, diethylstilbestrol, once a night for 22 consecutive days, and starting on the 11th day of medication, progesterone supplementation can be taken, such as oral medroxyprogesterone acetate (progesterone acetate), once a night for 10 consecutive days.
