Blood stasis type menstrual irregularity is a common type of menstrual irregularity. The symptoms of this type of menstrual irregularity are dark menstrual color, often accompanied by abdominal pain.

1. The main symptoms of blood stasis type menstrual disorders are more or less menstrual volume, purple-red color, clots, and irregular menstruation. Or it may be accompanied by lower abdominal pain that is resistant to pressure, or distension and pain in the chest, flanks, breasts, and lower abdomen, abdominal distension and discomfort, purple tongue or petechiae, thin white or thin yellow tongue coating, and stringy or astringent pulse.

2. Dark menstrual color caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis: From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, dark menstrual color is often a manifestation of qi stagnation and blood stasis, resulting in excessive or insufficient blood loss, abnormal color, black blood clots, and often accompanied by abdominal pain. Treatment requires promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, regulating qi and relieving pain. In addition, kidney deficiency often causes women's menstrual blood to be dark in color.

3. Blood stasis type menstrual disorders can cause dysmenorrhea and affect pregnancy. It is caused by menstrual blood staying in the uterine cavity for a long time, and is also caused by endocrine disorders and inflammation.

Menstrual irregularity is a very common gynecological disease, which is clinically manifested as abnormal menstrual cycle or bleeding volume, or abdominal pain and systemic symptoms before and during menstruation. The cause may be organic disease or functional disorder. Many systemic diseases such as blood diseases, hypertension, liver diseases, endocrine diseases, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, reproductive tract infection, tumors (such as ovarian tumors, uterine fibroids), etc. can cause menstrual disorders.
