Paris polyphylla pollen is very effective and is a natural anti-cancer agent

Paris polyphylla pollen is an effective anti-cancer herb, mainly produced in the southwest of my country. There are records about Paris polyphylla pollen in the Compendium of Materia Medica. It is slightly cold in nature, bitter in taste, has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying, and is a natural herb.

1. Nature and flavor

"Bencao Gangmu": cold, non-toxic. "Compendium of Materia Medica in Southern Yunnan": Slightly cold in nature, bitter in taste.

2. Meridians

Enters the heart and liver meridians. "Compendium of Materia Medica": enters the foot Jueyin meridian; "Leigong Paozhi Yaoxing Jie": enters the heart meridian; "Bencao Zaixin": enters the lung meridian.

3. Functions and indications

Clears away heat and detoxifies, relieves asthma and cough, extinguishes wind and calms convulsions; treats carbuncle, furuncle, scrofula, laryngeal paralysis; chronic tracheitis, convulsions in children, snake and insect bites.

4. Toxicity

Mice were gavageally administered 30-60 g/kg of the decoction and no mortality was observed within 3 days. Mice were given 0.4 g orally 3 times a day for 3 consecutive days; or injected intravenously with 0.2% (0.4 ml/mouse), and no mortality was observed. Therefore, the toxicity is very low.

The poisonous parts of Paris polyphylla are the underground stems and the bark; its stamens are completely non-toxic.

5. Chemical composition

Paris polyphylla contains diosgenin, diosgenin, 3-glucoside, 3-rhamnosyl glucoside, 3-rhamnosyl arabinoglucoside and 3-tetrasaccharide of diosgenin, and 3-chacotrisaccharide of diosgenin.

6. Anti-cancer ingredients

Folium saponins and total saponins. The main components are fleuroside and total saponins, among which fleuroside controls the growth of sarcoma cell S180. Through pharmacological biological analysis, it is found that the anti-cancer principle of flea glycosides is that flea glycosides inhibit the mitosis of cancer cells and cut off the reproductive function of cancer cells; total saponins enhance the anti-cancer effect of cyclophosphamide and prolong the survival time of mice with adenocarcinoma. Through pharmacokinetic analysis, total saponins promote the increase of T cells, activate the anti-cancer activity of R cells, and thus stimulate the production of its own anti-cancer ability. So it is a very good anti-cancer drug.
