Two-bomb massage

Put your thumb and ring finger in a C shape on both sides of the nipple, use your strength to expand the diastolic pressure outward and squeeze towards the base of the nipple. Continue this posture, gradually speeding up the technique, and the milk will be discharged quickly.

Three-bounce massage

Place your thumb, ring finger and middle finger on both sides of the nipple, and use the same method as two fingers to relax the pressure and then squeeze out the breast milk. Continue this for more than 5 minutes, and do three more rows. The breast milk will increase rapidly. You need to understand that milk is consumed, not stored, so you should massage frequently to express milk.

Massage

The patient sits or lies on his side, exposing his chest fully. First, sprinkle some light calcium powder or apply a small amount of paraffin oil on the affected breast, and then use the palms of both hands to gently push and caress from all sides of the breast along the mammary duct toward the nipple for 50-100 times.

Massage with kneading method

Apply kneading technique to the red and swollen points with the hypothenar or hypothenar on the palm of your hand, and knead the areas with lumps repeatedly until the lumps soften.

Kneading, pinching and holding massage

Use the five fingers of your left hand to firmly grasp the breast of the affected limb and apply kneading techniques, grasping and releasing, and repeat the procedure 10-15 times. Use your right hand to gently pinch the nipple several times to expand the milk ducts in the nipple.

Vibration Massage

Use the left hand's hypothenar to firmly grasp the breast lump, and push it with high-speed vibration along the breast base toward the nipple, repeating 3-5 times. The actual effect is better when there is a slight feeling of wind in some parts.

Purposeful Massage

For those with blocked milk ducts, targeted massage is required. Use your thumb, ring finger, and index finger to massage the injured area for 3 minutes to drain the milk. Remember it is a set of techniques, massage and milk discharge, which are continuous. 3 times a day, after the baby drinks milk. If the lump is very large and still exists after milk discharge, check whether there are white spots on the nipple. If so, it means that the breast is ruptured by the baby and caused by breast inflammation, which needs to be treated first. You can use a needle to poke the small white spots, press the lumps evenly and gently to drain the milk.

It is best to apply cold compress and heat before massage for breast knot

Purpose: To make the breasts soft and moist. Apply heat before breastfeeding: Use warm water. Too much heat will make the skin more sensitive, and then massage will easily cause abrasions. Rub a damp and hot towel in a circular motion from the center of the nipple to the nipple, applying heat on both sides in turn, for 15 minutes on each side. Apply heat before breastfeeding to help loosen the clumps so that the baby will be able to suck the nipple more easily.
