How many days of maternity leave do pregnant women have?

In our country, women receive certain salary benefits during their pregnancy. They can enjoy a certain period of summer vacation. How many days of maternity leave do pregnant women have?

The actual number of days for maternity leave stipulated by the state is as follows:

1. Pregnant female workers are entitled to 98 days of maternity leave, including 15 days of prenatal leave.

2. If a pregnant woman has difficulty in giving birth, the maternity leave will be extended by 15 days.

3. For twin pregnancy, the maternity leave will be extended by 15 days for each additional baby.

4. If a woman has a miscarriage before the fourth month of pregnancy, she is entitled to 15 days of maternity leave.

5. If a woman has a miscarriage after 4 months of pregnancy, she is entitled to 42 days of maternity leave.

6. Maternity leave for late childbirth shall be provided by provinces, municipalities, autonomous prefectures, and districts in accordance with the family planning policies and regulations of the province.

Classification of maternity leave

Maternity leave: 98 days 30 days/15 days (late marriage and late childbearing) 15 days/30 days (pregnant women with difficult labor) 15 days (for each additional baby born in twins)

Pregnancy check-up: Pregnancy check-ups carried out by female workers during their pregnancy within the working hours promised by the health care organization (including initial examination within the 12th week of pregnancy) should be counted as working time.

Prenatal work breaks: Pregnant women who are more than seven months pregnant are allowed to take a one-hour break every day, and night shift workers are not allowed to be assigned.

Breastfeeding time: Breastfeed twice a day for 30 minutes each time within one year old of the baby. It can also be combined.

Maternity leave: If you are pregnant for more than 7 months, and your employer approves you to take maternity leave for about 2.5 months, you can apply for it yourself.

Breastfeeding leave: After a female worker becomes pregnant, if she has difficulties and her work permits, she can submit an application herself and, with the company's approval, she can take breastfeeding leave for about six and a half months.

Pregnancy preservation leave: A doctor shall issue a certificate and the salary shall be based on sick leave.

3. Late childbearing leave, late marriage and late childbearing care leave

The requirement for late maternity leave was abolished on January 1, 2016, and was adjusted to: "Couples who give birth to children in accordance with laws, regulations and policies can receive rewards for increased maternity leave or other salary benefits."

4. Breastfeeding time and breastfeeding leave

After a female worker becomes pregnant, she must take care of her baby and breastfeed him/her twice (including feeding with formula milk) during each working shift within one year of his/her baby's birth. Each breastfeeding session lasts for 30 minutes, or you can combine two breastfeeding sessions.
